That whole thread some sheer retardation. This dipshit tells people outright to drop anywhere between $300-$500 on "starter" audio equipment. That's a shitload of money, especially if the person spending it isn't actually making anything back from streaming yet. Plus, other completely idiotic reasoning like "you absolutely need a boom arm because you don't want shit in front of your face so the face tracking will work". Or, y'know, for a start you can just buy a 50-ish dollar desk mic that isn't fucking huge and blocking your face, or you can even get a lavalier mic, or god forbid a g*yming headset, all of which are good enough for a start for under a hundred dollars. People really underestimate how much mileage you can get out of a somewhat shitty microphone if you're willing to fuck with the recording settings for a couple of hours. This is autism but I hate how there's many vtuber retweeting this post:

That's not how XLR works, even the better audio signal only works if you're using it for more than 15mt or in somewhere with a lot of noise, XLR carries the same signal(but balanced) as an normal 3.5mm - 5.5mm jack, that's why you can buy a passive cable that "converts" XLR to 5.5mm
