The answer for how long to not drive after the last salting to fully protect your car from salt corrosion is "12 months" - it never goes away.

You either:
A) Accept your car is rusting away under you
B) Visit the carwash for underbody wash regularly (or DIY your own bubba solution)
C) Get underbody protectant sprayed on.
And ideally you do all three

If you are worried about unsightly rust spots on the body (which lets be honest that's all John cares about because he has never looked under his car):
1) Thoroughly Inspect (or get inspected if you are retarded man LARPing as a woman/a southerner/congressional candidate/game developer/speed runner/human) every inch but especially the lower portion for any existing rust or paint chips. You need to take care of those first and make sure the paint goes all the way around the body metal.
2) Once car body is rust-free, wash car thoroughly with a good detergent. Any decent car wash will work.
3) Wax car regularly and heavily during salt months. The wax will form a barrier against the salt to keep it from getting the paint, and if it can't get to the paint it can't get to the metal.

Since others have tackled the car tweet, I'll go for John's very serious speedrunning career.

First, it's been a while since I checked the leaderboards, but lo and behold, John has once again been dethroned in his favorite barely-a-category by the SMA mod that added the category for him, by nearly a full minute at that. John hasn't posted any runs in a couple months now, so I think he's probably seething that he's never going to be able to reclaim his title. Hilarious.

As for his Twitch channel he's totally serious about, he hasn't streamed anything in over a month, and each stream gets barely twenty viewers. A sad state for the Godzilla of Tech Feminism and Also Speedrunning. His last one was apparently a Zoom call with some other guy about one of those Star Wars tabletop games he's made Frank blow thousands on.

I'm gonna sperg for a sec but I got the n64 with goldeneye for Christmas when it came out in the 90s and did all the speedruns 00 agent style for the unlocks when I was 10, it's hard but if you know what you're doing it's easy aka just run past the enemies and strafe/walk forward at the same time it makes you go faster.

I'm also playing elden ring now which is actually hard and trying to compare dark souls type games to goldeneye is dumb. Go back to pinball

tl;dr for those who go outside:
Mr Beast is a YouTuber who's gimmick is going expensive things (aka vicarious living). He recently paid for 1,000 cataract surgeries for people unable to afford them.

This is very altruistic act, but the payment is a tax-write off for Mr. Beast. For the surgeons doing the work, the procedures can also be written down. The Surgeons and facilities will also get paid the "real" cost (that is what everything costs) and can write down the difference with the "billable cost" (that includes paying for people who can't afford treatment, 4x multiplier incase they have to send your debt to collection, and other things). This is like when John Oliver bought a couple million dollars of medical debt, he bought the debt for probably less than a penny on the dollar.

If you are going to have a procedure done at a hospital, talk to the finance office and negotiate pre-payment. You can see the costs drop to half or less.

Or to put it another way, it costs less than you think to pay for 1000 cataract surgeries, probably not too much more than John has spent on Porsches and pinball machines.

On top of that, while it's certainly a positive to help out those who can't afford something that would drastically improve their quality of life, it's clearly not wholly altruistic on his part. Those that truly wish to do something charitable don't make a big deal out of their donations, it's enough for them to know that they helped. Meanwhile, Mr. Beast putting his face to everything he does makes it feel like it's more about building his brand than it is doing something nice. Millions of views means a hefty amount of adbux, not to mention sponsorships and name recognition for branded products (I saw protein bars with his face on them at Walmart the other day). I think I read someone on the farms say he's a trust fund kid, which if true is pretty much the only reason he's able to do any of this stuff.

I mean, again, it's good that he's at least doing some good with his money, but it's obviously a business for him, so I will at least half-agree with John that he's not wholly genuine. I'd still take cynical business that manages to help others over the shameless grifting and lying that John does. Also he always makes really punchable faces in all his thumbnails, but that's every big YouTuber honestly.

Drama over a guy paying for people to see is fucking stupid. He payed for a ton of people’s surgery to be able to see again, I really don’t give a rat’s ass if he makes a cringy Youtube video about it, pretty sure the good far outweighs the perceived bad.

People on Twitter trying to vilify him over it speaks more about their character than it does his. And that especially includes Wu.
