I expect he's capable and can hold his own. He seems like a savvy political operative.

He's definitely got some ability to punch back against stuff he's expecting

DeSantis has had past political success before. He seems to be far more aloof and calculating compared to Trump at least right now anyway. He seems to have quite capable staff as well if this article is anything to go by.

If he does decide to run in 2024 it's going to be a mess between him and Trump that will resemble a messy political divorce.

The main issue with DeSantis is the extreme kow towing he does to Israel that comes off badly, and the fact that the GOP and it's base are not as big into the MovieBob school of "no bad tactics only bad targets", I mean the neocon management of the party might be into it but the voters sure aren't. Before there was the Bernie debacle the GOP absolutely shafted Ron Paul and part of that is why Trump was even able to run and get so many people on board with his open attacks on the GOP old timers and leaders. People will vote for DeSantis no issue but not if the way he gets the nomination is by fuckery.

Of course the Democrats have a vested interest in causing this chaos, and they would love a repeat of a 1912 Bull-Moose move. Trump is good but he would never be able to pull a win in a situation like that and it would only help the Dems and Deep State. The idea scenario really would be a Trump-DeSantis ticket but sadly the law does not allow it due to Trump currently living in Florida and the provision to stop one state from having a monopoly on the executive. Maybe if Trump moved back to NYC it could happen, or maybe some meme like moving to a deep red flyover state just for the banter. IMO such a ticket would be the best to everyone but of course anti-Trump sentiment is still very strong among the GOP elites who really want to return to 2004.

Democrats definitely want a situation similar to the 1912 election. The concerning thing is that the percentage of that happening is higher then zero considering past displays of Trump's ego and narcissism. There is a good chance he will feel very insulted if he does not get the nomination.

The best outcome right now would be if DeSantis just could hold back on his ambitions for four years to ensure general conservative voter unity. That probably sounds crazy to people who hate Trump and think he has too much "baggage" to run though. Either way DeSantis is 44, Trump is 76, he can afford to wait.

At least for me Lindsey Graham being on Trump's campaign team is enough to indicate that DeSantis probably isn't running, because if Graham of all people is openly siding with Trump you can bet more than a few other closet RINOs are as well.

Won't have to wait long to find out either way, any serious candidacy will be declared by summer at the latest.

Trump said he was like, the greatest ally of Israel ever. Now, I don't know anything about Washington or how it operates. But after watching this for like 8 years....I suspect you have to kowtow to some powerful group to get you over the line. Otherwise you will get no... uh whats the word? Logistical? Infrastructure? Establishment? support out in the campaign field.

the MUH JEWS has been a big line of attack against DeSantis because they apparently expect the guy with the state with more old jews from new york than new york to go 1488 all day erry day
