The only thing that's defining this character as "Noriaki Kakyoin" is the hairstyle, so what's stopping OP from just making an original character instead of coping? You could even keep the whole character inspiration aspect too.

OCs don't gain a fanbase unless you are a high-profile name or have a huge community of OC-makers that interact with your work on a near-to-daily basis. Most of these artists unironically just want interactions to happen; therefore, making canonical characters into """headcanon""" versions of themselves and attaching fandom hashtags to their work is the easier way out.​
