The Last of Us Tv Show - Anyone saw this?

So basically what I am getting is that Druckmann turned the gay up to 11 and made an inferior, but still good (because its hard to fuck up a copy that badly) copy of TLOU 1?

Which is pretty much what anyone without an axe to grind against Druckmann predicted. Honestly though, people could watch the TLOU 1 cutscenes and get a better experience than the show.

OK, so I think I didn't process this till now. So Bill is already dead when Joel and Ellie get there then? All so they could tell their lovely gay romance? Really? Can't have a mean ol pepper even if he takes it up the ass I guess...

It's basically getting much worse every episode, the first couple were alright because the outbreak and early bits are so heavily scripted and set in stone but the following episodes got way worse and have druckmann's grubby pawprints on them

After watching that I wonder how clumsily and blatantly they're going to shovel troon shit into this, because you know they will.

Also for those thinking they will glorify pedoshit, I think they'll alright avoid it and just really go in hard on the cannibalism angle. But Clown World has fucked with me prior, so they may have the balls to make it a beautiful MAP moment till cannibalism comes into the equation......

They'll eat the bigot sandwiches!

Anyways, watched Midnight's Edge's livestream and they wondered if they were overreacting to woke-seeming elements. Seeing as how they were talking about this show, I can't help but laugh at them knowing that the show will get progressively more woke the closer they get to TLOU 2.

As I understand it, TLOU doesn't get nearly as bad as Walking Dead ever.
I don't know, to throw in an anthology episode completely disconnected from the main plot about two faggots in love three episodes in that doesn't advance the main plot in any way or doesn't clarify any of the lore or any such thing....

It's pretty impressive.

The greatest Ron Swanson montage ever followed by the worst Ron Swanson montage ever.
People are overreacting a little bit regarding this episode, it wasn't the worst thing ever, I mean it wasn't a bad episode of tv, the problem is that it's a fucking pointless episode and the best parts of it were the five minutes at the beginning with Joel and Ellie, then said first montage, and then the last 5 minutes with Joel and Ellie.

The rest was entirely unnecessary and would have felt like filler if it had happened midway or near the end of the season, and it makes no fucking sense.

Also, this brings us to the most glaring problem with this episode:

Why the fuck isn't Joel staying there? Yeah, I know he's got to go and get his brother, but his plan should be 'Get my brother, bring him back to this place, and we spend the rest of our lives there. Bury the two faggots, or move to a new house, there's zero fucking reason to leave such a place behind in the apocalypse just to go on the road and decide to settle somewhere else. That's absolutely fucking retarded. Even if he wants to dump Ellie with the fireflies and shit, his priority number one should be to going back there and making it his permanent dwelling.

Instead he just takes a couple of things and hits the road. That's fucking retarded.

What I don't understand is how this bad writing of gay characters is praised and not called out for being offensive stereotypes.

I enjoyed the episode, it hit emotional beats for me but the "romance" and chemistry was bad between them.

They meet when one guy falls into the other's dirt hole. He knows the other is gay because he can pair wine with food and likes Linda Ronstadt. So he then enters his other dirty hole.

Melodramatic gay drama.

The ending of life just seemed selfish and of course it was obvious where it was going with both of them.

The Joel and Ellie stuff worked, except for ditching a gun for no ammo. Then ignoring a room full of guns and ammo. Seem's the writers just constraining themselves instead of letting the story unfold. I now await for Ellie shooting someone to save Joel as he's surprised she has a gun.

I wasn't even commenting on the quality of the episode. It just destroyed my peanut brain seeing Nick Offerman being tender with another dude.

He will all ways he hardwired as Ron for me, it was certainly a shock to see.

I'm not going to sperg about the discount Humpback Mountain shit because other people already did that but why did the cut out the fight with the bloater at the school? That was the most iconic scene from the Bill's town arc in the game.

Or Joel blasting infected while dangling upside down from Bill's booby trap? That was another extremely memorable moment.

No. As someone that lived in that area all my life, it's not like that 10 miles west of Boston. At all.

Considering Bill lived in the game, I’m amazed Twitter isn’t screaming about the whole “bury your gays” thing.
