I don't really agree with him that Ukraine will be crushed within the next few weeks. They're going to keep taking a ton of casualties but I think they're going to do whatever they can to keep this war going on as long as possible. I'm expecting an all or nothing offensive from Ukraine in spring too. As for an actual peace treaty, I don't see that happening until this time next year at the earliest. I could easily see this war ending kina like the Korean war where it didn't really "end" it just went into a perpetual cease fire.

I didn't make myself clear, the former Ukraine is just going to the buffer, not as a nation but a territory.

Even if by some chance it survives as a nation in one form or another, its been destroyed, with most of its population gone, a wrecked economy and the most productive areas of its territory gone.
