Jaron Seth Bloshinsky / Jazz Jennings / I Am Jazz - Puberty Blockers: Not Even Once

"not...as smart as [he] used to be"? I actually agree. The kid was pretty precocious as a youngster. Smart, sassy, athletic, artistic. Those stupid mermaid tails? For a little kid, those were actually pretty impressive! So ... before TLC filming, before puberty blockers, before the horrors of hormones and sterilizing surgeries, Jaron was a pretty cool kid. Now he is a depressed, foggy, mentally slow mess.

There was an episode where a "friend" who [was] now a gay man living it up at Stanford came for a visit. They chatted, played with ribbons in the park, and for a moment, you got a glimpse of what Jaron could have been. Not necessarily gay (he is way too f'd up to ever determine what would have been there) but exuberant and demonstrative and all those qualities you saw as a little kid. Jaron KNOWS he isn't that smart, sassy, precocious kid any more. And that is a tragedy.

I assume it's part of the push to pretend men in women's sports is a grand idea. Something like 97% of men are stronger than 99% of women, but pick the absolute bottom of the barrel man and pit him against the strongest 1% of women and it almost looks fair.
Is this a conspiracy to turn womens soccer into a sport that’s watchable?

Or is it just a side effect of a bigger troon conspiracy?!

Will Jazz’s stinkditch implode?

So many questions!

Let the kid get some fresh air and play sports. I'm sure it hurts every time he moves, but he can do better. He couldn't take out a Chihuahua, and the women on his team will toughen hos ass up real quick. Female jocks bow to no one.

I think none of us as against Jazz doing sports as long as he's careful. Not only because he needs to do exercise, but because he needs to distract his mind and have new friends aside from those forced by TLC and his family.

So far, the only one opposing Jazz's freedom is Jeanette. The rest of the family seems ok with him. This is classic behavior of narcissistic parents.

Jazz tells us that cis women can't just take estrogen to make their boobs grow like men because genetics don't work that way. He really does think taking artificial hormones is just no big deal. Bruh.

Some forms of contraceptive (i.e. the hormonal ones) can cause breast growth. You'd have to be a fucking masochist to take them solely for that purpose, though, considering the whole host of other side effects. Breast growth isn't a guaranteed side effect, either.

Of course; the production of estrogen at puberty is what makes them grow in the first place, and its absence after menopause contributes to them deflating and sagging. It doesn't seem to have done much for JoJo/Jaclyn, however...

I think mixed-sex rugby is a terrible idea and putting a male in there with a strict 'no complaints or else' is counter to the principals of fair game, sportsman like conduct, and being a good teammate. There are plenty of ways for Jazz to exercise without ruining what was meant to be a single sex team. It's Jeanette-like/American tv 'star' levels of entitlement and assholery.

There need to be 3 divisions for sports teams - men/boys, women/girls, and trans/anyone who throws a piss fit over which one they get to play one.

Jazz is built like fucking fridge!

Yeah, he’s fat and most likely slow and can’t run far but still. Running into must be pretty painful for these ladies.

Most 20 year old girls do not weight over 225 lbs as Jazz does. I doubt Jazz is an aggressive enough player to actually injury a woman, that still doesn’t mean I’d want to play against him.
Jazz would be like the tard who gets to join in a game and score a touchdown out of the goodwill of his classmates. The difference is, the tard's school has come together to include them in a part of the school experience that they normally can't and it's a one-off wholesome event, whereas other players would have to go easy on Jazz because the TV script requires him to succeed and Jazz would have to be considered a legitimate part of the team.

Well the men's category is, in most competitions, actually an 'open' one- it's not limited to biological males. The only reason why the female category is limited by sex, is to be inclusive to women actually being able to reasonably compete.
Theres nothing stopping whichever sex from being in the men's. But we all know why.

Whole host of side effects? At this point, for most women, they are minimal, though their ability to clear up some types of acne seems to be a plus for some of the teen girls I've known in recent years.

Hormone levels in today's pills are practically nothing, especially compared to when they were introduced, or even 20 or 30 years ago. And even then, the side effects for most were nuisance-level, particularly compared to the many, many potential benefits.

That said, agree that taking them for hoped breast growth would be stupid.
