User profiles used to break down the ratings you sent and received and told you if they were positive or negative. At some point these were removed though.

Would there be a thread, guide, or any indication as to which "ratings" give positive, neutral, and negative score?

I thought Islamic Content was neutral, but just found out it's not. It's one of my favorite buttons, and I always thought its use was facetious in nature. But I guess I will refrain pressing it, lest I want to anger rating whores.

It's also strange that Disagree contributed to the neutral rating score instead of negative.

There's not an official guide, but:

Positive: Like, Agree, Winner, Informative, Feels, DRINK, Semper Fidelis, Press 1, NICE MEME, Achievement
Neutral: Dislike, Disagree, Autistic, Optimistic, Press 2, Horrifying, Powerlevel
Negative: Islamic Content, Off Topic, Late, Dumb, A-Log, Deviant

Ah. I don't think Paint can actually do transparancy. Get yourself something like GIMP. It's free and it can do more. You go into your channels panel once you've got something like that and you add another one. THEN you save it as a png. Alpha channels are our fancy little friends that let us have transparent images.

Now that I am a supporter and have all the ratings I think that it was a terrible idea to implement ratings but they are so essential to the culture of our site that getting rid of them would cause too much damage (I think that just informative, autistic, and dumb would have been sufficient with maybe also drink for shitposts)

I obviously know they're both positive ratings, but what's the difference between the Semper Fidelis and Winner ratings in terms of when to use them? Sorry if this has been asked before.

It's just fluff, really. Semper Fidelis was originally part of the Wounded Marine Charity Drive before all donators got access to it. I guess you could consider it a more "valuable" Winner when receiving it since fewer people have access to it.
