I skimmed over the most recent chapter (833) and all I have to say is at least the author seems to be sort of self-aware?

Oh definitely, but I get the impression that this isn't something that he put a lot of thought into. He just word salads for 1k, posts it, and has been doing it for so freaking long that he doesn't know how to stop. Like he's looking at this shit monster and going, "Dear lord, what have I done?"

OH MAN I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR SO LONG TO DUMP THIS FIND SOMEWHERE.

So I have a friend who writes a post-apoc fic for the Daredevil fandom, and every so often we play a game together we call "Fanfic Roulette" in which we browse our favorite fandoms and look for stories and decide whether or not they make us want to shoot ourselves in the fucking head. You don't really win or lose the game, you just suffer.

This is the crown jewel of our game.

There's so much to this trainwreck I don't even know where to begin. The fact that it's stated in-story that Matt's got autism from being gangraped? The brony shit? Butchering Tony Stark's characterization worse than Age of Ultron? The number of fangirls schlicking themselves to this?

I get plot updates from someone brave enough to have actually read it. It's pretty much turned autism into a fetish. I'm not exaggerating.

The writing style makes it amazing. Like, they're trying so hard to be taken seriously, but they just can't obscure their total incompetence. It's the "this is my first Creative Writing class in college and I think I'm hot shit" style of writing and I love it.

Do you have a link? I want to see how they mix rape, Bronies, and a 2Edgy4U writing style.

The thing that galled my friend (who had reasons to be angry about this fic for powerlevely reasons besides the fact that it's shit writing) was that this author claims that she works with autistic people or something but it's clear she hasn't done a damn ounce of research. Because even a Psych 101 student can tell you PTSD DOESN'T CAUSE FUCKING AUTISM.

That same guy also wrote a Smash Bros. fanfiction where they all go racing. Over a hundred chapters in and countless extra Sonic and SpongeBob characters added to the already overly large cast and they still didn't start the actual race. Yoshizilla is hilarious not for his writing, but because his writing exists, and I think he has a reputation for that.

Raphael is captured, cut open and impregnated with hundreds of fertilized eggs - he is then made to watch his "children" get cut out of him on the operating table and sadistically crushed and mutilated in front of him - why? Who the fuck knows, I guess he just needed a traumatic experience to turn him into a vulnerable, emotional wreck who Leo can nurse and indulge the yaoi fangirls.

Splinter sexually abuses Raph and Leo for years and neither of them are aware they're not the only victims.

So... I think I found something that makes Stephen King, Alfred Hitchcock, Edgar Allan Poe, and Saw look like pussies. Rini's Torture Chambers, a Sailor Moon fic where Rini kills the others one-by-one in only the most disturbing of ways. Congrats if you can make it through the whole thing.

The Rules of Jin, a "VERY LEMONY" fanfiction for the game Harvest Moon. In this masterpiece, the game's female protagonist, despite being an adult, needs sexual education to marry her lover. I have no idea if this fic is a troll, but it is wonderful.

I came across this Castlevania fic just now, and while it's not necessarily "horrific" it's just plain horrible. Obvious Christianity shilling, abuse of ellipses, and the fact that the fucking author's note is longer than the goddamn chapter.

Perfection.
