I was just hoping cause it would be funny, The true meme answer would have been an F-15 with an old ASM-135A ASAT MISSILE.

They value power. Their principles include doing whatever they can to get power over you, which by definition means they're better than you and have the right values/ideas/principles/opinions/beliefs/etc, because by definition if they gain power over you that means they MUST have been the right ones. The wrong ones don't gain power over the right ones, unless it's their ideas losing then obviously something has gone astray and this needs to be corrected.

This is post-modernism 101. If they have power over you, it's because their ideas are just better and you shouldn't complain, you should obey them. If you have power over them, it's a travesty that must be corrected so the world can be correct again. Actually having better ideas doesn't matter as long as you can take power.

It's a show of force and also confirms to the Chinese the US military will tolerate more incursions in the airspace. They were given direct instructions to shoot it down but waited until it flew over important defense infrastructure.
