So I've had a few arguments with my girlfriend about the validity of trans people, and they usually end with us both agreeing that we need to just not continue with it, because it'll only end with us both being angry. She is very much a pro-trans person, as she has a trans friend and has decided that he's somehow a woman (despite having a penis lol). So I've had quite a few thoughts about how exactly one should argue with these people, and it's finally hit me, I've unlocked the secret: bring up trans-racial people.
Though they're rare (at least for now, give it a few years), a trans-racial person is someone that has decided that they're a different race despite the fact that they're obviously white (or whatever they are, but it's mostly whites suffering from huwite guilt). Now, they've chosen this despite the fact that, given their bloodline, they're obviously white. From a genetic level they're white. No one would argue this, despite any political leanings. I suppose there may be outliers but, for the most part, everyone would agree that this crazy white dipshit is just trying to cash on that racial despair.
So, why is that any different from a trans person? They're trying to be a man or a women despite being born the opposite. From a genetic level they're that sex. Their hormones, skin, and skeletal structure say "this is a male/female" and nothing will ever change that. So, why is that valid, but trans-racial people aren't? I mean, if my skin is one shade darker than other whites, why can't I say I'm black? Oh, because of my genetics? So why is that valid here, but we ignore that when it comes to trans people?
I'm really looking forward to the next argument about this with her. My girlfriend is actually pretty smart, so I'm hoping that, at the very least, it makes her consider her opinion on this shit a little more critically. Either way, consider this the next time you find yourself in a trans argument. I feel that it's a pretty solid rebuttal to most of their rhetoric.
Edit: I'm also preordering the game. One: my girlfriend wants to play it. Two: I want to play it. Three: HELL YES I WILL SUPPORT QUEEN TERF. I feel like that's where all of these preorders are coming from lmao
