This is why Ukrainians still see the Nazis in high regard compared to the Russians because the Holodomor was that bad and the Germans liberated them from this oppression under the Soviet state, and hence their legacy spawned a lot of far-right groups in modern Ukraine understandingly. Russia still holds in high regard their victory over Nazi Germany as the legal successor of the Soviet Union so any appraisal of Nazism from the Ukrainians is seen as an offense to Russia.

A couple of them have 173rd deployment patches, but none of them have unit patches. There's also an E7 formed up with what looks like an E4 next to him. It's been 10 years since they last deployed, so not actually far fetched. Especially if he joined right after their last deployment. E7 is ~7-10 years (6 is extremely rare), so definitely possible.
