I don't know his full involvement and I admit designed is the wrong word for it, but the rifle is being sold for less than the sum of its parts, a rare feat for a complete AR, hardly the same as slapping together a parts kit.Nigger, he didn't design shit. All they did was replace parts and morons act like it's some great achievement. Next time I mod my Jeep I'm going to declare I fucking designed it.
Definitely used the wrong used the wrong word, he helped bring a good rifle to market for a decent price. No part of that amounts to designing a rifle.
Dugan became a based schizo in the past few years, I would have thought he would consider it too ableist to denounce him for that.He now calls Dugan an insane anti-Semite.
Being able to dish it out but not take it is a great sign that he's a lolcow. And on it's own that would be perfectly fine, Hopliteofheil has a following and that statement describes him to a T, the issue with Karl above all else is that he takes that combative and aggressive stance and then reacts poorly to anyone who disagrees or who does it back to him. Karl takes everything far too personally especially for internet discourse. I think Othais is wrong about Karl on this one, I don't think Karl is an edgelord who likes to argue for the sake of arguing, I think that statement implies far too much seperation between Karl's arguments and his personally held beliefs. Karl consistently acts as if his opinion is indisputable fact and then is almost bewildered when people don't see it his way, his anger seems to stem from the sort of frustration you'd feel needing to explain something to a child who should know better.
"Good rifle" is a very suggestive term, obviously I'm being a bit pedantic here but I only see it as good for the context of 2gacm or three gun, it's just too "racy" for a duty gun in my opinion.Definitely used the wrong used the wrong word, he helped bring a good rifle to market for a decent price.
It's also a very good sign that he's not actually playing Devil's Advocate, or at least is really bad at it, which is the crux of my argument that he doesn't just argue for the sake of arguing but honestly believes the things he says.Being able to dish it out but not take it is a great sign that he's a lolcow.
Yeah. I'm sure the WWSD and it's cheaper derivatives are excellent for accurate shooting, probably would make decent varmint rifles as well, but a no forward assist havin, pansy ass carbon fiber handguard with polymer lower isnt ever going to be anyones go to SHTF rifle, no matter how light it is.I only see it as good for the context of 2gacm or three gun, it's just too "racy" for a duty gun in my opinion.
someone should put together a what would stoner not do carbine and give it the most fudd stuff you can definitely has to have a forward assist and a carry handle sightYeah. This is a quad-rail neighborhood, cuck Karl keep movin.
They already have that, it's called the M16A2. Literally every single part selection decision that went into the WWSD basically boils down to "How the fuck do we get as far away from an A2 as possible"? They started with the SP01/M16A1 and then just made that but extra.someone should put together a what would stoner not do carbine and give it the most fudd stuff you can definitely has to have a forward assist and a carry handle sight
I always interpreted the NCR stocks as brown fiberglass like the early AR10's.They already have that, it's called the M16A2. I guess you could add wooden furniture to an A2 pattern gun if you really wanted to be extra. Or LARP as NCR.
Given the texture they're almost certainly wood. Or at least the fandom has declared them as such, although the Survivalist's Rifle texture really makes it apparent that the SR16 has wooden furniture.I always interpreted the NCR stocks as brown fiberglass like the early AR10's.
Lever actions are also less than ideal to operate while prone. Something soldiers kinda have to do.It would have been an apocalyptically bad idea to issue lever guns in WWI. They are more mechanically complex, more fragile (particularly the loading tubes), more expensive, and typically cannot use Spitzer bullets unless you add additional features to them which makes the gun more complex, more expensive, and in some cases more fragile. I've fucked with 1895 Winchesters and I would rather individually pluck every single hair out of my scrotum before trying to get that thing clean from Argonne mud in field conditions. Particularly if I were some poor dumb 16 year old who lied about his age to get in and has never been more than twenty miles from home in my life before now.
The argument could maybe be made that lever guns would have been nice for a stosstruppen type role, but the allied powers never really had a need for stosstruppen the way the central powers did, and honestly once they figured out submachine guns and automatic rifles there's absolutely no call for the lever gun at that point, even if the war had carried on into 1919.Lever actions are also less than ideal to operate while prone. Something soldiers kinda have to do.
I think Ian might have even pointed that out in one of his videos at some point.
Yes, the Russia Empire did adopt the Winchester 1895, but it was for issue to Air Force and Police units as a substitute standard. It was never intended to replace the Mosin Nagant in front-line service.
They're really not bad. There was some embarrassing roughness and slop in early production but they seemed to have ironed it out. If you want to make a lightweight build and don't have anything against the old M16 stock and grip profile, they're a valid option.Hey OP, don't forget to include that full-plastic receiver-grip-stock thing he was incredibly autistic about not releasing the technical details for and how bad they are
His entry was a complete non-effort and it didn't do the job for shit. He was open about his motivation being that it would take the least amount of work to undo, with the vain hope being they'd ditch it.Stoner never even worked on it, it was added after he did the initial design by two Colt engineers, if I recall the story correctly. He never made a big stink about his design being changed as other firearm designers did in the past because he recognized the US Army wanted it after an exhaustive test on the AR-15 and in his own words "why fight city hall?"
I don't think so, everything about him makes him come across as far more moderate, he seems like some manner of milquetoast libertarian. After seeing the drama Ian whipped up with his anti Rhodesian comments after his Larry Vickers FAL collaboration video I'm inclined to believe he likely shares similar opinions but is smart enough to not fly off the handle on the internet like Karl, or at the least learn from Karl's episodes that it isn't a good idea.
Some countries ban it, but with Germany it's not prohibited in the context of historic documentary, which you can easily argue the videos fall under, and likely other countries have similar provisions. When he started doing the flags in the thumbnails, he did them all uncensored at first, but noticed quickly that Google didn't like the Nazi flags, so he reluctantly blotted them out to keep monetization. I think he used some other flag from within the Wehrmacht for a time, not sure if he kept at it.I do recall Ian saying in a Q&A episode why he blurs out Swastikas in thumbnails but not commie symbols. He said it's because Nazi imagery is illegal in some countries, and can get him demonetized.
Imperial Russia was up shit creek without a Nagant rifle to use as a paddle at the time, they were buying just about anything they could find in a mad scramble. No doubt the 1895 Winchester rifles worked excellently for rear echelons, but I really wonder how well they did when they ended up in infantry combat proper. I don't think lever-action rifles would have been a complete non-starter, there's a number of different ways to make oneThe Russians put nearly 300,000 of them into frontline service and they seemed to work out ok.
If I wanted an AR15 with dead weight I'd build an A2 clone or pay the boomer tax for an old Colt HBar Sporter, and enjoy the superior ergonomics and aesthetics of plastic rifle handguards. This is a quad-rail neighborhood, cuck Karl keep movin.
This is a short article about the 1895's in Russian and Finnish service. Ignore the web 1.0 look it's an excellent site.Using Spitzer bullets is irrelevant in an 1895 as it uses a box magazine.

I'm going to assume that English wasn't this guy's first or possibly even second language. This is a short article about the 1895's in Russian and Finnish service. Ignore the web 1.0 look it's an excellent site.
He has reverted back to uncensored Nazi flags. Four months ago he did the videos on the WWII silencers and had the flag back. Some countries ban it, but with Germany it's not prohibited in the context of historic documentary, which you can easily argue the videos fall under, and likely other countries have similar provisions. The main catalyst for this thread was his recent chimpout on Arfcom that not only got him banned there but very likely torpedoed his business relationship with Brownells (which owns Arfcom). There was also some evidence posted in the guntuber thread regarding more feuding with Ian, but since it is just screenshots, I am disinclined to consider it gospel.Have been watching Karl+Ian videos it for a long time, back before the mud tests made them popular. I do enjoy his content, less than Ian's, but still he makes nice videos, like the recent one about handgonne's (basically one of the first efficient european fireamrs- just a black powder or "serpent powder" canon on the end of a big club). So to me the content seems ok.
When Ian stopped doing videos with Karl, it was obvious there are some problems. Ian is a very catious creator, and this alone puts him ahead of many. Off course, at any moment it might turn out Ian was a pedo all along, but I have hope.
So Karl is know for being edgy teenager-tier atheist, was in relation with a promiscious woman, possibly fucks a tranny and likes to make stupid arguments online? I mean that's pretty bad, but what makes him especially noteworthy among the other youtubers.
He's finnish, his writing is clear even if his grammar is sometimes iffy.I'm going to assume that English wasn't this guy's first or possibly even second language.
Even Karl and Russel feel like dragging him in. This is, according to them, the Ian betrayal arc of the story. He is a "backstabber" and a "coward." Ian is so heinous that he won't even step in to white knight for Russel when the FW audience insults his weight or whoever it is that Karl is defending, which makes Ian now a Dr. Breen-tier evil chud collaborator. Russel is also on the InRangeTV payroll to add yet another layer of incestuous business partnership within the AZ gun company circles they are involved in. It also seems that Karl's paypiggies are also quite happy to prostrate themselves even further. It wasn't enough for them to have Karl post some low effort video occasionally and perhaps address the server every other week or so - now they actively wish to become paypigs to Russel's brand new Patreon.
This is all very frustrating to watch, because Russel should know better. At this point, Karl is more risk than he is worth, and unless he is getting serious Soros or Blackrock bucks to act the way he does, it is entreprenurial suicide to continue to partner with him. This isn't about 2A rights, this is about the fact that Karl is fat and Brownells will not distribute guns for him.Karl is fat and I would not partner with him.
(quoted from guntuber thread)
That's the interesting part. If it is true Karl's antics on a Brownells-owned service did sink the collaboration with Brownells then the logical conclusion is that Karl is a loose cannon that should either be reined in or abandoned. This is all very frustrating to watch, because Russel should know better.
