Corporate Cucks / Hustle Culture / LinkedIn Loonies - Corporate bootlickers and shills

The recruiters at my company do not accept resumes in the traditional way - got to have a LinkedIn profile.
Tf is up with that? Is this some meritocracy BS where they base your competency of the job based on how many connections you have?? I’m scared that most jobs pretty soon in the near-future are going to ask for LinkedIn profiles instead of just uploaded resumes. Our social media-obsessed world wants us constantly connected even for applying to a job.

It’s shockingly common already. A lot of third-party application portals now ask for your LinkedIn URL versus a resume upload (sometimes both, but it does seem like the resume is more formality at this point). When I have job reqs open, I have to rely on our talent acquisition team to pair me with a candidate. If a current employee of mine has a reference, that person also goes the talent acquisition folks to receive a valuation. I really wish I had access to this portal that the recruiters use in LinkedIn to understand how I get paired with Sandeep who speaks in broken English, but reposts everything motivational from entrepreneurs, and has begged for friendly reviews on his profile versus someone with a concise resume that outlines their skills and qualifications.

It's because recruiters (and HR in general) are retarded. Its the only reason I can explain the "Hey I see you are a senior network engineer, with an advanced degree, you are a perfect match for this minimum wage no benefits level 1 help desk job" messages people in my circle get from recruiters.

It is also the only reason why I can explain why my company's recruiters will take down a job post as soon as an interview is made with some one, then wait weeks until putting that opening back up when interview didn't go well (or the person didn't accept the offer because HR retards cut starting pay multiple times and getting a burger flipping job now pays more).

It is also the only reason why I can think of one of our recruiters pushing for a new computer because they just now reported "My PDF program is having issues".

Have you ever worked with the chinks? I mean chinks from chinklandia.
I work in the same building where they have some big office. So I often see their office workers and managers.
Man oh man, the modern chinaman is a walking parody, a man you will only see in cyberpunk universe. Short and too perfect haircuts, similar "office casual" clothes, similar mannerism, upper managment drives exclusively expensive cars, they only eat their food (for real, I always see someone delivering a whole bunch of food from chinese restaurants).
Im not exaggerating- these people are the corpos archetypes. Like what americans imagined about japan in 1980s.

Yeah there’s a reason a lot of cyberpunk media is set in Asia, it’s because Asians as a people are very conformist and adhere strictly to a set of rules rather than think creatively outside the box. They’re a status-oriented people, dressing in designer fashion and bling presents themselves as upper class and well-off. As Westerners we’d probably find a lot of it tacky, however for an Asian, looking wealthy and busting your ass for a corporate gig makes one look better irl and earns them social credit points on the internet. Toiling away at a corpo is the Asian’s equivalent of creating a fine piece of art.

literal npc. Now social media will get even more flooded by these bugmen with AI botting their own spam as if we needed any more confirmation they are not even human and don't count as people.

She didn't follow her own advice it seems lmao: https://www.hrreporter.com/focus-ar...uiter-posts-controversial-tiktok-video/367253 ( Archive: https://archive.md/KxtxG )

I am pretty sure it's something that is still happening, but since she got viral, they launched an 'investigation'. I doubt that she even got fired.

Thats a very generic response, doubt it too. Even if she did got fired she is right, she is just one in a field full of angry women that hate you.

As much as of an NPC the chinks are in corporations, at the very least they are able to produce results.
Nowadays corpos are obsessed with their image, social media and creating a "fake it till you make it" culture. doing these corpo parties, celebrations, events, where the HR n higher ups just stand there smile n clap along with creating pointless positions where they basically do nothing other than send pointless emails and do pointless meetings where they eventually get the boot cuz of over recruiting while the other essential departments are still understaffed and overworked for whatever reason.

Hustle culture or corporate bootlicking have lead terms like "Quiet Quitting", "Job Hopping" or "Rage Applying".
I like how they use terms that sound like what abusive narcissistic gaslighting partners would use to try and guilt-trip their workers into not having a decent work ethic.
"If you Quiet-Quit you're a liar and manipulator and you hide your emotions from ME and that's ABUSIVE"
"If you Job-Hop you're being unfaithful to ME and that's ABUSIVE"
"If you rage-apply you're letting your bad emotions take control of your behavior in relation to ME and that's ABUSIVE"

Also good thread.

I must have gotten lucky, because my first exposure to the term "quiet quitting" was describing someone who was straight up not doing their job and knew this would lead to termination. The idea is to do just enough to not raise too many eyebrows but just look like you're underperforming, and then ride that out for as long as possible until they formally terminate (or PIP) you. You get to work <5 hour weeks for a month or two, and you usually get a severance payout at the end.

Actually using it to describe people doing their duties and nothing more is insane. As if simply doing your job as agreed is laziness on par with doing nothing.

Nah man, you have to run after that carrot that you'll never get. You have to suck your boss's dick dry for shit pay just so you aren't called lazy (:_(.
In fact, there is another term coined by HR "experts" that is called "Quiet hiring": Meaning that you assign more shit to your employee for them to learn, without paying them what they actually deserve. Because apparently "Recruiters are struggling with hiring people and company needs to save on money". :stress:

>tfw I shitpost on company time
>tfw I shit on company time
>tfw I trade stocks on company time

Long, long before the pandemic, it was possible to use quiet quitting techniques in certain jobs and not get fired if done just right. I never did it but this was mainly done in the public sector. Could also be done at utilities, especially the cable company. The important part was that you had to be black and/or a woman. That way if they fired you, you could turn around and hit them with a wrongful termination suit. Now the quiet quitters are using the same tactics, but it doesn’t work because they’re at megacorps that believe in lean staffing to make more profit for Mr. Noseberg, instead of massive government bureaucracies designed to make work for Tyrone. Some of these jobs are literally just Gibs with extra steps.

Idk if it makes sense but so much of this corporate cuckholding just feels like the inevitable outcome of a modern structure where people don't hold their work because they don't physically see or touch the results of their work, it's just numbers on a page.
No, I think you're dead on and I can speak to this. I'm a CPA by trade so numbers on a page are something I'm very familiar with. When you don't have ownership of this kind of work, it's totally meaningless. You just dump numbers into some EM software like Engagement or Caseware and the end product means nothing. Quite honestly probably 99% of private company financial statements just get shelved in some banker's drawer.

One of the best decisions I've ever made in my life is going back to my prior, smaller firm. I own this client portfolio now and its success or failure is totally dependent upon me, my team and the people we work with. It's now my book of business and if I fuck up, it's on me but if I do a great job we can bring in even more work and I'll get a big cut of the billings in my own pocket.

I've honestly started making efforts to push out the legacy partners and other useless types to own this one 100% as my own, and on top of that the client loves me. I'm an ambitious Beak Thing.

Most asians dont work for a huge corporations, they work for small workshops and factories, mass-producing plastic crap that floods the market.
Besides that I dont really see them producing more results than the western ones. If you don't take into account the meme social networks corporations, orinted towards regular user, like Google, then the western big companies are equally as competent, maybe more in high tech.
Im convinced that HR are the worst parts of any companies. 99% of insanity comes from HR.
