Not far from "civilization" normal Amazon stuff shows up easily in 1-2 days. Apparently based on Twitter a number of people are getting hosed. BestBuy or GameStop is an hour+ drive and local WalMart wasn't doing orders for pick-up. So, digital it is.
Based on why I can tell, the game is about a 7, however if you really like the Harry Potter stuff, the game looks and feels almost exactly like the books and will knock your personal score up a point or two because of it.
Basically an okay to good game, but a great Harry Potter game.

The game is apparently huge. So may be a while before people can really give a full verdict. One reviewer said he was 10+ hours in, iirc, before he even got to some features of the game. Said the game was growing on him all the time.
I'm not going to say this is the greatest game ever created but from what I've seen so far it really is pretty good. Will be buying it.
More journo seethe! A they/them (male) at Kotaku, seething that his garbage website didn't get a review code so they could do the obvious and reviewbomb its score:
>having the audacity to pretend you're better than any other publication when you work for fucking KOTAKU
Threatening to find and oust journos who did their fucking job instead of crying about politics unrelated to the actual game:
>"Faustian bargain"
Reminder, this is about Harry Potter.
Having an existential crisis over game journalists talking about video games instead of crying for the sake of trannies they don't know:
"trans genocide"
God, I hate how hyperbolic these fuckstains are.
These people live on Twitter, which is why every single law that's pitched to ban HRT being given to kids seems like an earth shattering event regardless of whether or not the law passes.
Meanwhile, this tranny wants to highlight games that TRULY deserve the spotlight, like "He fucked the girl out of me", a game about being a gay prostitute and getting raped or something.
Way more deserving of attention and love than a game based off a children's novel made by a meanie british turf!
Imagine being this joyless. Why even review video games if your brain is so hyperfixated on politics? Go write for Huffpo or some shit, people look at reviews to see if a game is worth buying, not get lectured on how COD is actually military brainwashing.
Seething at IGN addressing the nontroversy around the game instead of thinking about *his* feelings and giving the game a negative review, ignoring its actual merit:
"don't finger wag the rest of us on how to do our jobs"
Are trannies just allergic to the idea of self-awareness? This lunatic spent the entire morning melting down and lashing out at publications on how they did their job and reviewed Hogwarts Legacy without kissing ass to trannies.
Also >gamergate reference in 2023
rent free, get some fucking help and let it go.
"Fuck IGN (A VIDEO GAME NEWS PUBLICATION) for talking about video games instead of politics!!"
He knows that gamers don't give a shit about journo politics, and somehow thinks that IGN should be ashamed of listening to their audience and doing their job.
Can't wait for Kotaku to go under, holy shit. What a fucking useless rag.
Next up...
A writer for Polygon and Gamespot seething because he feels entitled to having every writer put a paragraph-length disclaimer denouncing JK Rowling in their reviews (instead of talking about fucking video games) and demanding that the people who focused on the game instead of Rowling quit their jobs because they didn't think about his feefees enough.
>"you are not a critic, you are simply an advertisement"
the funny/ironic thing here is that a certain movement back in 2014 that journos still seethe about was started over game critics acting as advertisers for undeserving games..
"Stop having fun! Think about politics!"
Actually, I was wrong. A disclaimer isn't enough for him, every journalist reviewing the game should've written a FULL essay about Rowling instead of the game to satisfy his demands.
And now:
Former Kotaku writer and current Vice Waypoint writer Patrick Klepek joining in on shaming critics for reviewing the game honestly.
Fun fact, this is the same guy who covered his eyes with his hands during a section in Yakuza 0 where Kiryu was watching an AV with busty women.
He also threw a bitchfit over Magfest making a joke about Kotaku being shit and demanded that the posters be taken down.
Uh oh, get ready for a 1/10 bomb from Polygon in a few days. Top tranny Gita Jackson is on the job, reviewing this game.
"IGN saying "we only love fun" is the kind of crap that's unacceptable"
How do people like this wake up in the morning without wanting to kill themselves? What a miserable existence.
>"then a reviewer at IGN establishes that our main job is to tell you whether a game is fun or not."
If the job of a game journo isn't to tell people if a game is fun or not, what the fuck purpose do they serve? >"The biggest and most influential gaming outlet in the world not only believes fun factor is 'our job' as critics, but pushes that view onto their readers."
As they fucking should, no one cares about your low IQ Twitter politics, no one wants to click a review of a newly released game and get lectured by some know-nothing game journalist.
Aren't video games supposed to be fun? Nobody wants to think about real world politics or first world problems 24/7 when they're playing a fucking video game. Review the wizard game for what it is, you joyless cunts.
Also, HardDrive is seething about Hogwarts Legacy getting high review scores.
Very funny satire, Hard Drive. Seethe harder.
If only these journalists shared this same level of outrage and derision towards positive reviews of Activision-Blizzard or Riot games. Activision-Blizzard actually has at least one dead body to its name, unlike Rowling.
It's so crazy to think that game journos are finally just saying that they don't care about video games or the consumer whatsoever, they just want to push political agendas while getting paid to play video games once in a while. IGN telling readers that they care about the fun factor more than stupid shit on Twitter was enough to set all of the screeching they/thems and tranny enablers into outrage overdrive.
I like how leftist Gaylords adopt every alt right trope they claim to hate. The Hogwarts Legacy question? Jews are greedy fuck ugly goblins? You faggots lack originality.

I don’t know what I find funnier - Wildcat thinking people still go to Gamestop at midnight, or that he’s trying to get good boi points by doing this considering he’s friends with Vanoss (who’s actively trying to get himself cancelled at this point, change my mind) and laughs at all the edgey shit Vanoss says.
You might be right about the games technical issues - it’s a AAA Game in Current Year, those go without saying unfortunately - but I’d still counter point by saying off concept alone, the game would more than earn it’s budget back. It’s an Open World Hogwarts Game - outside of Twitter, no one really gives a shit about the whole Rowling v Trannies thing.
Quoting myself, but fuck it - this one's personally amusing for me to bring back up, seeing as one of the Vanoss Crew (Marcel/BasicallyIDoWrk/The Token Black Friend) is streaming the game on his channel. Now we get to see if we get Youtuber Drama or if this was just for good boy points.

It is absolutely hilarious to see retards who laugh about gamers boycotting shit over nonsense and worrying about muh ethics in games journalism turn around and do the exact same fucking thing for this game lmao.
