I am in a similar position. I used to watch him back during the protest streams and stuff, and he really got out there and tried his best to put out good stuff. I was horrified when he said he was going to stop doing the IRL, and he was going to focus on news and just more podcasty stuff. It's not bad, he gets decent guests, but his ego has grown to the point where he ruins his show. Folks aren't tuning in to hear his very milquetoast takes for the 10th time, folks are tuning in for the guests. Very similar to him getting big streaming protests, people weren't watching because of him. I will watch when he has interesting guests on, might have watched 5 full "podcast" episodes. When I joined I was already getting pretty deep into my disdain for Pool. I was still watching IRL nightly but that going to change quickly. I think back then though I still mostly liked Tim, I was just growing tired of some of his behaviors. At this point though I'm starting to genuinely feel he is an awful person.
All that said, I think his biggest issue is his massive ego. But it's easy to understand, dude has a huge stack of money, a comfy job, and doesn't want to do anything to fuck with that. He's not a good person at all, but I don't think he's evil, i don't think he's anything but a comfy fuck that doesn't want to rock the boat or take any chances with his cash cow.
