Presented in a different context, say with a gigachad or any smug/confident looking character "You dont get to decide whether something you said hurt me or not" could honestly be an aspirational quote. I was going to make an edit but then realised there's nothing worth keeping from the original picture - would make more sense to start with a blank canvas.

We live in a world where people who believe, and I'm just writing this again because the full weight of it is just hitting me right now, that the sexualization of children is defendable, but being hetero or homosexual is offensive.

Pedophilia is right, hetero/homosexuality is wrong.
And people are agreeing with that.
And defending them.
And sending them on speaking tours.

This is why I have to take long breaks from this thread.
I can't wait until we look back on all this as a species and collectively lose our shit that people could be so gross and stupid.
What classic tale was it where a man built his own wings then flew too close to the sun? Icarus? The story of transhumanist aspirations turning into hubris (and the classic pride comes before a fall) is one that's old as time. Unfortunately this time around the ones taking the brunt of the damage are vulnerable children who were groomed, lied to, and likely didn't know any better.

The trans caricature that's that way because of the name and the manly voice... that's voiced by an actual trans person. Seems like Billy might have some internalized transphobia to work over.

Of course it's a caricature. If it was representative of trannies are really like, you'd have to be an adult to be able to buy it.

I don't know why but the fact that Labelle thinks this is somehow a story-ruining spoiler really irritates me, like 'the Dark Wizard is the one who did this bad thing!' is somehow the equivalent of 'Snape killed Dumbledore'. Just the utter inability to understand the basic human reason the actual spoiler was so devastating is baffling.

Also, what's wrong with Sirona? Because it sounds kind of like 'siren'? In fact;

Wikipedia said:
In Celtic polytheism, Sirona was a goddess worshipped predominantly in East Central Gaul and along the Danubian limes. A healing deity, she was associated with healing springs; her attributes were snakes and eggs.

This character was named after a goddess of healing, HOW INSULTING.

This is so minor compared to everything Labelle has ever done but the sheer concentration of smug ignorance and inability to understand how people work is staggering.

That was tried with Superstraight wasn’t it?

Yes, but they painted it as an outright sexual orientation.

The advent of that meme seemed to me to be the point where the troon community really started to lose the culture wars, because it backed them into a corner: Either they can ignore it or laugh along with it, which would be an implicit acknowledgement that transwomen are not real women if straight men aren't attracted to them. Or they can get angry about it, and make themselves look extremely bad, because doing so paints them as consent accident enjoyers who can't take no for an answer.

But even that meme was overshadowed by the massive deluge of groomer material reaching mainstream attention, and the scandal at Loudoun county where a bunch of school administrators covered up a rape for ideological purposes.
