Canada is a failed state

Aside from kiwifarms I haven't heard much support or people even wiling to understand the trucker dilemma in legal or political terms. Most people wanted the police to brutalize the truckers and do it fasterer. Lock them up and throw away the key kind of statements. Couldn't give a fuck about the government seizing private property without judicial review and a dubious legal reasoning reserved for actual war and counter-terrorism. CCP overnight, no one cared because there are claims that honkers were being impolite and insubordinate to petty tyranny which somehow turned into real tyranny over a mere matter of days. You can slow boil Canadians and then keep slow boiling them, is what the government has learned.
This was my black pill on Canadian politics, or maybe the final nail for me.

Just seeing the political brainrot here, something that should be seen as a clear violation of rights- but not only were people indifferent about that, they were gleeful to cheer as our rights got stamped on, because whether you agree with the truckers or not, this was a precedent for all people's rights in Canada.

Its one thing to say "yeah but what can you do", its another to actively cheer the government on while its doing this. Canadians arent nazis, arent stasi, etc- but this is literally the same mob mentality, and it legitimately unsettles me. Whatever happens next, I'm out (of Laurentia at least). I don't want to be a part of that and would rather be a refugee elsewhere than to stick around with people of said culture. Look back, but look forward elsewhere, because Canada is full of political zombies, but worse than that- it has a state that is very open with how it abuses and uses said political zombies to stomp on your rights.

Yeah, I've been to East Hastings, and it's a wretched hive of filth, squalor and despair which gives the original L.A.

The simple equation is "would you raise a kid in this neighborhood". If yes, its good, if no- its not. Ask liberal journalists talking about how wonderful drug addled Vancouver is, if they would let their kids play among the needles, and you'll get what they actually think.

Unironically though: being a kid playing ball hockey on the street with your friends in the cul-de-sac. Outdoor shinny, helmetless, in tuques and sweaters, followed by a beer (illegally) in the dressing room. Everyone's white, even in the big city. It's something I'd taken for granted when I was younger. I'd guess that a lot of guys under 30 have probably never experienced it though, so I can almost understand why it seems like a cheesy meme now. Like something made up in a Tim's commercial.

Anyway, speaking of 'failed state'. Nothing says 'decline' like refusal to recognise a problem. Nothing says 'total failure' like actively celebrating problems and trying to shut down anyone who brings them up. Thanks, Torstar. Yeah, I've been to East Hastings, and it's a wretched hive of filth, squalor and despair which gives the original L.A. Skid Row a run for its money. Imagine being the kind of Toronto shitlib who sits in xir million-dollar glass shoebox in the sky and writes this, just to spite PP.

They're getting rightfully roasted in the comments. How long until tweet replies need to be approved?

Oh, and a final mindfuck? Vancouver 116 years ago, including Hastings Street:

God what I wouldn't give to experience that time. Even with all the horrible health risks and all that accompanies them I imagine almost all the men therein lived more satisfying lives.

Imagine it; a Canadian city full of white people. What a weird thought.

I spent my formative preteen and teenage years in Calgary which was nothing like it is now. It legit was mostly white folk and there was no such thing as political correctness. We played hockey on the street, we spent the entire day outside and there were no concerns of being kidnapped, raped or fucking robbed. The worse drugs we saw was marijuana and hash. Looking back it was so wholesome compared to now. My son always says he wishes he lived during that time too.

I see someone has never visited St. John's before. Even now it's only like 10% visible minority and that's concentrated around the university. Even a bigger city like Halifax is well over 80% white.

The secret is high unemployment.

I've only ever seen 2010's era Calgary and Edmonton. Even my small ass WASPY town of Creston is getting 'diverse', too.

The last three years have been effective a Milgram experiment to test Canadians' obedience to authority as well as a (n almost literal) recreation of the Stanford prison experiment. However, unlike the Stanford experiment, the Liberal-led government and their Laurentian cronies divided the populace in to vaccinated and the unvaccinated with the latter group treated as the prisoners/inferiors. It astonishes me to watch how Leafs, particularly the Laurentian class are some the least savvy or intellectually sophisticated people on the planet. Many of the same morally-preening midwits who cry about increased private delivery of medical services don't even realize that their general practitioner operates a private practice that bills the provincial government. Hell, I didn't know that our hospitals were operating at over 90% capacity before the pandemic until J.J. McCullough pointed it out in a recent video. They want different results, but try the same damn thing ad infinitum.

As harsh as it sounds and is, I now feel a certain amount of callousness and antipathy towards central Canada and the lower mainland of B.C. for their unceasing posturing and boundless idiocy. There are times where I would love to tell the denizens that their "suffering" during the convoy was trivial and that they aren't worth giving a single fuck about. Sometimes nothing would make me feel better than to see the capital sacked and burned to ground for their adolescent histrionics and hubris. Everything that is wrong to this country is solely on their shoulders as far as I'm concerned and they are the ones who are in the way of true progress.

I work in healthcare in Ontario. These motherfuckers don’t know a single thing about how shit is on the ground. Immigration alone and their attitude that babysitting their elderly parents who they just brought here under the guise of ‘childcare’ is a government problem; is using up health dollars way faster than it can be replaced by the tax payer.
I can’t even count how many times I have seen people drop off their parent at the hospital and basically sell the house and refuse to answer any calls from hospital staff.

I assume that they are also claiming the parents old age pension money as well. So it drains two social programs at once.

Oh absolutely. Unless they aren’t eligible due to only being here for a few years. But whatever money they can get out of the folks they do it.
I have also heard many times that the family can’t sell the parents home to help pay for care because it is their (the child’s) ‘inheritance’.
The grift in Ontario is out of this world. And they keep bringing in more immigrants who can’t contribute tax dollars because they can’t find work.

They assure they're bringing in the very very best whilst flooding the market with low skill young men who will work for beans. Seen it in Creston, so I can only imagine how fucked it is in a place like Toronto.

A racial awakening is the only thing that would save this country; but that's impossible.

Haven’t you heard? The real problem is greedy capitalist corporations. Diversity is our strength and additional immigration will help somehow. The correct solution is more socialism.

They will continue to double down until they are dead.

Nothing screams rebellion like voting for what the government tells you to want as paid by those gigantic corporations you so claim to hate yet ardently support.

Meanwhile, young white women are being celebrated and encouraged for choosing to not have kids, all the while the businesses are screaming that there is a labour shortage and the government is carting in immigrants by the boatload.

But didn't worry, diversity is our strength.

“Toronto has high crime but at least it’s diverse!”

Can’t tell if they’re joking or 100% serious
A friend of a friend moved to Toronto a few years back before moving back during the pandemic. He worked online the entire time so there was no financial incentive. He was living in a bachelor apartment with his girlfriend that costed more to rent than the mortgage, maintenance and taxes on our three-bedroom bungalow combined. He bitched about Toronto non stop. The only answer anyone can get out of him when they ask why he would move there in the first place is there are a lot of restaurants and bars.

You can't make this shit up.

I wonder why nearly every pre-modern societies had strict control over their women and every religion has the same opinion over female decision-making capabilities. Probably a mysogynistic culture that somehow materialized independently in every civilization and in every era.

Could thing we now know better! 🤡

As someone who lives and works in the GTA, there is absolutely zero reason to live here if you are working remotely. Scarborough is a fucking cesspool of niggers, Tamils and chinks and dilapidated housing but desperately trying to be relevant. Downtown is millennials who don’t know what fucking gender they are and live on soy milk and false outrage.
If I could work remotely I would be so fucking far from this shithole my head would spin.
