In a normal universe I'd consider this sort of stance to be pretty based. But we can be pretty sure he's putting blinders on and just wants to move forward with his unquestioned, narrow worldview where nobody who disagrees with it or challenges it exists to him. It's going to leave him a much more narrow audience to grow from. Vaush is like this and his audience is pretty stale. He has a lot of overlap with Vaush's audience and followers, but Vaush paypigs aren't going to start splitting their money between them, and Luke only has a few big paypigs of his own.
He's effectively kneecapping his streaming career with this decision. It's sad, but also pretty funny.
