I think it could have been a kind of an accident, in a sense. Back when all this shit was going down, someone theorized that Archie and his mother had a big argument right before, and Archie wanted to do something to scare her into appreciating him. He didn't think about the consequences of looking like he was trying to kill himself or the possibility of death.

I think that kind of story might line up with what we've seen. Unpredictable kid, doesn't think things through, makes a rash decision for attention at a low point, ends own life in a psudeo-accident/suicide.

Matthew Badcock, the headmaster at Archie’s former primary school, said: “Although Archie was challenging he was lovely with it and rarely disrespectful.”
He described times when Archie “would go to the top of the stairwell and was hanging over the top and staff had to pull him back”.
“Archie had such extreme upper body strength I never felt he would fall,” he said.

Yes. He wanted to prank his mum as revenge and thought he could hang by his neck for a bit and then just pull himself back up. Talented gymnast that he was.

Then as I was making this post I remembered something I'd seen on a TV show, took me a minute to remember it. Britsh version of Shameless, had a storyline in the later series where two police officers were pranking each other leading too.. a fake hanging. The show is basically an idealized documentary of Hollies lifestyle where the the dossers always come out on top of the authorities. Every chance that show was watched in her house.

Interesting that the comment on one of the echo articles months ago about Archie assaulting another kid at school turned out to be true.

@GenociderSyo in your bulletpoints you have said

She states that he was told he did not have what it takes to be professional.
She then states he proved them wrong by winning a gold medal.
Thing is she also admits his first match wasn't until the week after he hung himself.

These comments were regarding his gymnastics, not MMA.

Has to be stated though, your OP is looking like a more thorough investigation than that of Essex Police!
I'll fix that those live things are so disjointed all reporting different things.

The inquest is "satisfied" that the kid put his head in a noose and that there were ligature marks, but still rules it an accident because "maybe he just wanted to see what it felt like."

Holy shit the British are toothless fucking morons.
I'm surprised the ruling wasn't misadventure, which more properly covers an intentional act ending in unintended consequences.

That first post. She is going to "...disclose real truths and facts about Archie".

So she has disclosed untrue truths and made up facts about Archie up until now then?

That's nice of her.
It's just a way of staying in the spotlight, no more no less. The people following her just take everything at face value and she gets all the sympathy and attention. This stopped being about the kid on day 2.

It's been used for accidental suicides of children in the UK before, and I'm unclear why it wasn't used here.

If a toddler walking off a roof is death by misadventure, how is putting a noose around your neck and jumping off a railing a simple accident?

Coroner sends condolences to family

The coroner told Archie's parents that his death would "clearly leave a huge hole" in people's lives. He said: "You have given me an insight into this young man, what he had achieved and what he looked like he would achieve. You are quite right to be proud of this young man."
That coroner sounds very compassionate and professional. I'm surprised he ruled it an accident and not a suicide though. I guess it's possible, with all the gymnastics stunts he loved to do. Maybe he's ruling it an accident bc it's easier for Archie's family to accept? IDK how this stuff works.
I think it reflects well on UK institutions how far they went for Archie. It's far more than Hollie actually deserves, after calling them organ harvesters and other rubbish.

Water-brained.

All she's confirmed is that she's always been aware he had very volatile moodswings and was left to doomscroll unfettered while he should've been at school.

Doesn't paint a rosy picture of his home life.

It's hilarious that she still believes that she can write "copyright" on random crap she posts to Facebook, a public forum, and expect that to legally prevent others from reposting. Utterly retarded.

Yay I can post again. Well that was anticlimactic but expected. Never underestimate just how broken everything in bongland is right now. The police or social services finding no concerns just means they weren't paying attention until a child ended up dead as bloody usual.

My experience with social services is that as long as physical needs are met (fed, washed, clothed and housed) they don't give a shit.

I have a nephew who is extremely troubled for his age due to his substance-abusing mother and the only reason he doesn't live with her anymore is because he took it upon himself to flee to a grandparent's house.

His primary school aged sister who is already coming out with some concerning shit is still in the care of a crackhead on anti-psychotics at social services' insistence.

It’s not unusual for suicides of young people to be labeled as ‘accidental’ or ‘misadventure’. The general view in many psychological circles is that adolescents are impulsive and incapable of fully grasping the finality of their actions. You also see this line of thinking when it comes to the actual diagnosis of mental illness, especially things like OCD or Cluster B disorders. Kids and teenagers are retarded, they go through retarded phases, they believe that the world is waiting on baited breath for their next move, and for many, their personalities aren’t even fully formed until early adulthood. Also best to rule out other potential issues like the ‘tism and whatnot before slapping a lifelong diagnostic stigma on a young person. That being said, there are ‘looks, quacks, and waddles like a duck’ cases, where kids can’t get early intervention because the psych is reluctant to call a spade a spade. (Antisocials for example, can’t be diagnosed until 18, though they are often exhibiting symptoms well before, they’re slapped with Conduct Disorder instead. There’s more wiggle room with other disorders, but it’s still advised to wait.) Not saying that’s the case with Archie here, it’s well within the realm of possibility that this was attention seeking gone very, very wrong.

What are TikTok tokens? Do you have to pay for them? I won't go on that platform, so I have no idea. EDIT: Just looked on Google, and it appears that Archie would have had to pay for them. Or Hollie did, as all users must be aged 18 years or older to make purchases on the app.
