No phishing campaign is sophisticated. There pretty easy to spot for anyone working in the IT industry. Understandably, shit happens to even the best of us. They do say they have "gamified" phishing campaigns so maybe this particular employee wasn't in a tech position and wasn't savvy enough to recognize it immediately.sophisticated phishing campaign
Based on our investigation so far, Reddit user passwords and accounts are safe,
I hate it when companies do this. You should immediately assume that your account and any associated accounts have been compromised and start taking measures to re-secure them. They go over this further down the post but I hate how they try covering their ass first and leave the "what should you do" at the end.we have no evidence to suggest that any of your non-public data has been accessed, or that Reddit’s information has been published or distributed online.
Reverse their reddit karma and take away their gold. To bad these hackers never do anything funny like that.doxing redditors is useless because they already don't feel shame, so what is this really supposed to accomplish?
Ah yes the "very sophisticated" most common form of social engineering. They got hacked lmao

**TL:DR** Based on our investigation so far, Reddit user passwords and accounts are safe, but on Sunday night (pacific time), Reddit systems were...old.reddit.com

with that many employees, you could literally run a 3 square mile steelworks with the production capability of 5 million tons per yearMaybe that wouldn't have happened if you didn't have 1800 employees just to run a fucking website.
Can't believe 1,800 "people" are working for free. It must be hell for them to get a real job with the the amount of mental ill- I mean neurodivergency in the digital offices called Discord.Maybe that wouldn't have happened if you didn't have 1800 employees just to run a fucking website.
Just die already Reddit. You reaped what you sew. They got hacked lmao
