It’s incredible how hard troons and their enablers have tried to retcon Rowling into a “terrible writer”.
Like pretending she’s racist because she gives foreign things cartoony sounding names (keep in mind how she names the werewolf dude “Lupin”)
Or how she “doesn’t believe in anything” ala that iconic 4chan post because she isn’t a communist.
Or how she’s just a bad person because in retrospect she fed into a toxic fan culture while experiencing fame for the first time and being wholly unaware of how the internet warps people’s brains.
Really this whole troon issue is a smokescreen for fans who think they own her work more than she does.

So I've been playing the game for the last 72 hours or so. I feel like it would have been shit all over had it not carried the HP name. It's fun and it's cool seeing a world that I enjoyed so much as a little kid being explorable, but that's about it. I feel there was an opportunity to make it something great but it's being held back by the fact that it's obviously made for little kids to be able to play. The game holds your hand through EVERYTHING and will tell you exactly where every quest item you need to collect is located, even giving you a path on the map on how to get there.

Crazy how Harry Potter incites so much anger in adults, no matter what generation.
And, as expected, Wired gave Hogwarts Legacy a 1/10.

I think this whole situation is a good example of why thinking critically is both good and non existent in "activists". Think about what would make Rowling more angry, having no troons engage in her works, or having her works completely taken over by troons with her unable to stop them? I would say the latter would irk Rowling more, knowing that the group she hates is both enjoying, but actively separating it from her as the original creator. In that sense the troons should have fully embraced the game and showed everyone that Hogwarts and its universe are able to be separated from the opinions of the original creator and embraced as an original work for the franchises. Instead they attempt to cancel it for some unknown reasons other than they enjoy destroying things for the sake of it. And now that we get to see the game its obvious the Rowling had basically nothing to do with it anyway so the outrage was extra retarded. The whole thing just seems so dumb as a "gotcha" to Rowling when embracing it would have hurt her more. Its not like they could ever hurt her bank account so it really was all culture war.
I just feel bad for the developers and artists that worked so hard on this game. Imagine getting to work on a game for one of the most beloved fantasy series out there and can do it with a deeply passionate team who wants to make the dream of exploring Hogwarts real. And then you get a bunch of faggots on twitter trying to dox you, get you fired, calling for your harassment and generally just ruining your life. The studio and team cared. They clearly loved the universe and wanted to bring that love to life and they put in the work to do so. In a world where so many popular franchises get fucking butchered in spinoffs, Hogwarts Legacy should lead as an example of how to properly make original works in new mediums that are still honor the original work.

Long version: there was a contest held for in-game ads in Cyberpunk. One of them included a sexualized transgender chick drinking an in-game soda. This caused troons and ResetEra nerds to freak the fuck out. ResetEra, proving once again that fun is not a word in their vocabulary, even tried to mass report the game before release and cancel Mike Pondsmith, the original creator of the Cyberpunk tabletop games.
That failed, and the rats once again slunk into the shadows, waiting for the next trans character to get mad about
