YT 5/23 - Donations, Please, plus Live Game Stream tonight.

I got Android notification of an AWESOME NEW LIVESTREAM and, of course, the moment the YouTube app fired up, I heard Chris say "thank you, have a good day. (divers alarums of The Playroom)"

Worst. Livestream. Ever.

Anway: As an evil Hex-Box troll, I don't give a monkey's toss about Uncharted, so I'm afraid I can't donate anything. Continue the Destiny livestreams, Chris, preferably with audio. Seriously, according to bungie.net you got the level boost and have a noob armour equipped and you did like only a few missions, it's fucking embarrassing. Continue Destiny and we're talking about at least a US$threefiddy donation here. (Donated, say, within maybe a few years from now on, may be longer. I need to be careful with all this spending, now. I'm sure Chris understands how money can be tight sometimes.)

Your donations do nothing.

He was making content long before idiots starting giving him money, he will be making content long after idiots stop giving him money.

You aren't throwing quarters at a monkey to get it to dance, you are throwing quarters at a monkey that is physically incapable of not dancing.

True, but don't you give the funny raving hobo a buck when you pass him because he entertains you? Sure he will be mad and rambling about his rat-beard even if you ignore him but you might as well show your ''appreciation''. I'm not saying everyone should donate but from all the fun I've had at Chris expense over the years I can fling him 5 bucks.

You're kidding, right? It was always the LACK of money that makes him create content. If you want him to produce you are actively ruining your own fun.

I just saw Chris hugging and declaring his love to a pillow; some money does add content. But I get what you mean, it would be hilarious if he had to hold down a job.

I wonder how the Chris from 2007 would react if he somehow saw this video...

I'd like to imagine that 2007 Chris would mistake it as a video of his "daughter" from the future and marvel at all the toys she has and the "new" house she's living in. All while the fact that she is begging for money completely flies over his head.

I don't know. At various points, Chris has more or less disengaged from the internet for a period of time. An argument can be made that if he is able to get money from the internet, this is less likely to happen. So by donating, you are increasing the likelihood of future "content".

Although I am not particularly suggesting people should "donate". I haven't given Chris money since his house burned down, and I don't particularly plan to. And I am not that entertained by his "begging" videos.

I don't really see any morality in donating, or not donating. Does Chris "deserve" the money? Probably not, by most standards. But the world doesn't operate with everyone doling out their precious dollars based on careful analysis of who deserves it most. People buy what they want and give where they want. I have no desire to give money to Chris, but if someone else decides to, then giving money to him must make them feel better in some way. And it certainly makes him better off. So who are we to get in the way?

Someone must have told chris that begging for food money would be more effective than just begging for money in general. He just seems more awkward about this than usual. Like someone told him to beg for food money and he made the video without thinking about what to say. The suckers who donate to him need to realize that all money is fungible to chris. If you give him money for food he will spend it on lego and then beg for more money for food.

He's begging for money not food. He's just saying the money will be for food as leverage. If you really want to white knight shit test chris right now send him nonperishable food and tell him to thank you if he wants more.

well that is the point i was trying to make. If a homeless person asks for $10 alot of people might say no but if they ask for $10 so they can eat then some of those people might be swayed. The money still might be going to booze either way.
