Its more or less unusable because of glowies. Almost every thread consists of the same small number of faggots posting with some kind of schedule.

They almost exclusively respond to themselves for a few posts, then move on while bots occasionally bump the thread.

Problem is the culture that made 4chan fun wasn't because people used computers

It was heavily influenced by people using computers. Sitting down at a computer was something you did as a choice. Taking your phone out while in the bathroom or waiting for a bus isn't. The internet used to be a place you visited and engaged with instead of passively consumed because it's always in your pocket. When your internet access became free for the rest of the day instead of charged by the minute you turned on your computer or opened your browser as a conscious choice. Too much internet access at no cost lowers the value of the internet and how people see it. The internet went from a pay per view event to water coming out of a tap. You never plan your day around refilling your glass but you do around something with limited access windows with an immediate cost attached.

Like, seriously. I'll never understand this perpetual kvetching you see in meta threads or /q/ and /qa/, especially in regards to /v/. Trolls aren't nearly as common as you make them out to be, and they are usually easy to filter/ignore. Just don't enter obvious bait threads, it's that easy.

The post quality is so low you can't tell what's trolling and what's a real post any more.

I'm just waiting for the BBC posters to be clamped down on. Funnily enough, a while back when the spam was really thick, the BBC spam stopped for a day or so when Israel was getting bombed. Really makes you think.

I remember this. It stopped for 3 days and plz save Israel was spammed in place of it. According to the /r9k/ tranny grooming log leaks a lot of the spam on that board comes from tranny's investing in crypto early and using their money to hire spammers. Most threads are propped up by a small number of users arguing the same thing for weeks, months or even years thinking they're responding to different people. Could be botting or could be real autism but that's been a rumour floating around by any one claiming to be ex staff. The majority of board traffic comes from the same small group of users day in and day out. The mods can see their sleeping schedules and know when one will start posting and stop it's so predictable.

Halo general on /vg/ is completely unusable because of the constant spam and it's been going on for several years. It's painful to read when you're looking for a new group to play Infinite with and it's the exact same spam it was when Infinite launched.

We already have 3 entire tribalism fights in the threads, cobblekangz (who were half the problem on the last server) vs everyone else, discordfags vs thread posters who don’t play the game, and pixelmon shills vs cobblemon (new competitor, not ready yet) shills.

I hope people get their shit together in the coming months /vp/ixelmon season is one of my favorite times of the year

/vp/ixelmon is a yearly Minecraft server that is hosted every summer for people on /vp/, it’s a nice pixelmon server but last few years drama has been popping up. Last years server was so bad it was the shortest season of /vp/ixelmon in the servers history aside from allureins generation which never got off the ground. If this years server is as bad as the last I might make a proper write up.

The problems from last gen can pretty much be summed up as this
-only 2 admins, rasdori tried their best when they were on while pig was more harmful to the server than helpful
-cobblekangz were a big group known for paving over the servers only jungle with cobblestone which also happened to be right next to spawn. It was kind of funny at first but the admins rarely ever did anything about them which led to the attempted destruction of the over world nether, attempted sky ceiling and almost paving over another players base. They would always make the thread and server chat about them and most people left myself included because we were sick of them and the city of niggasaki
-discordfags, it’s a discord tied to a 4chan thread enough said. I was never in it and I don’t plan to be. Although there were constant accusations of them rigging server contests such as the chisel costume contest. There are screen caps of members privately discussing server changes with pig.
-village, village makes the mod that adds items for the server related to pixelmon. He does a lot of necessary scripting to make the server work properly and this is at least the second season in a row where he was chased off/abandoned the server when people brought up his history of being a femboy chaser. Also a major dev for cobblemon

Here is a new piece of drama this year several months before the server opens
-cobblemon vs pixelmon, pixelmon is the long standing Pokémon in minecraft mod. There are so many internal problems in its development it could have its own thread but what is important here is that recently a couple of devs and a lot of modelers jumped ship and are making there on mod called cobblemon. Featurewise cobblemon fits more in the Minecraft style and has PLA catching mechanics. However the big problem is that the mod is not finished, many Pokémon do not have models and there is still a fair amount of jank. The devs themselves say it is not ready for a server. People keep shilling both sides and it is creating a new rift which some are speculating could even lead to a second /vp/ server for cobblemon

i've witnessed the real autism. When a sped decides to go on a personal crusade there's no stopping them, I've seen it very transparently in small boards where it doesn't even make sense to be proselitizing their petty bullshit, Why would you insist when only a couple dozen people post there and made it clear they don't even give a shit about the discussion? the autist still feels like it is some sacred duty , no matter how many times they are banned and call a faggot, they get stuck in a loop and can't move on, they'll waste months of their life just to patrol a niche board where some anon disagreed with them.

A furry 4chan minecraft server with a discord is autism above my pay grade. You would probably need a thread for that in community watch.

They will do it for years. The Halo general has the "so you finished the Halo demo" spam and Artiox or whatever the Infinite nigger stand in is called spam since the first trailers revealed him.

It's especially bad when they're pedos and can't stop spamming young anime girls as avatars. They pull in more like minded creeps and they spread out over a board until nothing of the original cultures left. Maybe we're just old men hanging round places that used to be cool and we need to move some where else or leave the internet all together.
