Joe notes the difference from the book, I think it's fair that most of the comments don't even realize there's a book, but he kinda skips over that like most adaptions they condensed characters and plot and gave good lines from others to the top actors and so on. The book also kinda undermines Joe's theory: Bill starts killing at 12 with his grandparents and kills his ex-boyfriends new boyfriend or something. How much weight should we give the movie cutting his background info for time?
