With that said, I wouldn't put it past politicians to blatantly ignore rules.

I'm going to guess that the 5 year thing is not actually required, but that's what they generally accept as far as applications. The power to pardon is in the constitution and no restriction like that is written in. I don't think many, if any, were charged federally, so that much is correct.

Violent far-left "activist" Richard Hunsinger who threw molotov cocktails and nail bombs at a federal building during 2020 Floyd riots in Atlanta was sentenced to just 32 months in prison. For comparison, Qanon Shaman (Who I might add was never accused in court of ANY form of violence) who walked through the capitol with a staff in his hands got 41 months.

According to U.S. Attorney Buchanan, the charges and other information presented in court: On July 23, 2020, Hunsinger began organizing a protest titled “Rally Against Fascism.” The event was scheduled to occur at the Atlanta-Field Office of the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (the “DHS building”).

On July 25, 2020, at approximately 11:30 p.m., a crowd gathered at the DHS building for the rally and protested outside a fenced area in front of the building. Hunsinger and others, wearing dark clothing and face coverings, breached the fences and began vandalizing the building.

While the DHS building was occupied by at least two federal employees, Hunsinger smashed at least four windows of the front entry of the structure and then lit and threw a Molotov cocktail into the building through a smashed glass door. At the same time, other individuals utilized rocks, cinder blocks, modified fireworks, more Molotov cocktails, and additional materials, to cause extensive damage to the building totaling more than $46,000.00.

He even had some of his comrades help get his sentence improved by writing letters and supporting him.

And I go back to my first point, there weren't even any charges filed. He had no names or information to actually do anything in his final two weeks as President. What the fuck was he supposed to do? Just make a blanket "anyone on the capital on January 6th can't be charged with anything?" proclamation? Yeah, there's no way that wouldn't have any unintended consequences...

I have to disagree. Since the globalist left has marched through the religious denominations and pastors/leaders have fallen in line, the left definitely has the unorganized religious as one of their main adversaries. If you're a Christian who has come to his own conclusions about what Christianity means? You've probably got an independent/questioning mindset that they cannot tolerate, and quite possibly a willingness to act on those conclusions rather than passively sit there and accept what you're told. They don't care about the spiritual but not religious types because why would they? Most of them are supremely passive slugs anyway.
