What search engine are you using?? I just went ahead and typed "M9" into the search bar and got several results for 9mm M9s. GunBroker probably isn't the best place to shop around for one, though. You're typically going to end up paying ~$600 dollars + tax/fees/shipping, which at that point why not just buy a 92X, which are commonly available at a similar price point?
If you're dead set on an older 92 like the FS, or specifically the M9 with the proof marked slide and straight dust cover, you maybe oughta try lurking in the classifieds section of your local gun forum. People are selling old 92s for cheap all the time.
Gunbroker's search bar, see my attachment below. That's just four random ones I screencapped off the first page, there's plenty more. What search engine are you using?
Yeah, I saw those too but the majority I saw were 22lr being sold at 400$ and more than that every single listing is for the commercial variant. When I typed in m9 surplus it gave me this jackass.Gunbroker's search bar, see my attachment below. That's just four random ones I screencapped off the first page, there's plenty more.
Ohh, you want milsurp. Yeah, that's gonna be a bit harder.Yeah, I saw those too but the majority I saw were 22lr being sold at 400$ and more than that every single listing is for the commercial variant. When I typed in m9 surplus it gave me this jackass.
I get your point about searching gun forums but thats ridiculous. I'm searching on a budget and thought it would be easy enough since you see some pretty old collectibles for 2k but I guess I'm too naive.
They really are a good budget blaster. Just don't overpay for one, I've seen some shameless 'offers' for used ones, where it would be better to just look for a used "1.0" M&P instead. These things really are a diamond in the rough, you shouldn't let someone talk you out of it if you can get one for really cheap.
I recall the details of that lawsuit were very fuzzy and unclear.the S&W Sigma, SW40F and SW9F that was the target of the patent lawsuit in the mid 90's. the SD series from the late 90's is an improved version that had enough differences to be brought to market without the patent infringement (and having to pay Glock a fee for each pistol sold).
Imagine paying six fucking grand for a completely bone stock 92FS. That one looks lightly used, but I've heard a lot of horror stories about the conditions of heavily used M9s in later years, sometimes looking deceptively decent on the outside.Yeah, I saw those too but the majority I saw were 22lr being sold at 400$ and more than that every single listing is for the commercial variant. This is about what I've heard; cheap, rock solid, makes glock seethe, and has a suprisingly ok aftermarket. 14 rounds standard in 40 is no slouch either. What seals the deal for me is the look, that stainless slide is sexy man and just has character. And as a bedside/car gun, it'd be a good fit methinks. So I have the SD9VE, had it for many years... Yes, this is the pistol that got S&W sued by Glock... However I will tell you this, these things are insanely underrated. Mine is a fucking tackdriver. What you get for $200 or whatever these go for now is well worth getting it over a Glock if you're on a budger or don't care about aftermarket. Apex Tactical makes a trigger and spring kit (which I own) that completely changes the feel of the gun. There is an extremely small aftermarket for these and iirc they take regular M&P sights as well. The only thing that really needs it though is the trigger and take down pin. Dara Holsters makes a decent AIWB holster for these as well.

This is basically what I was talking about lol.Probably comes from the Glocknade meme. Smith & Wesson devises a shorter case for the 10mm FBI Load, and Gaston Glock is a sneaky fucker who actually beats them to market (which isn't even the first time, either). The Glock 22 doesn't have excellent chamber support, but it doesn't matter because you're shooting factory ammo and if you want a high powered 10mm you would get the Glock 20. No, wait, troglodytes are trying to handload up .40 S&W anyway, so Glock has to adjust the profile of the chamber to prevent retards from making IEDs.
This shit was memed on relentlessly by /k/ back in the 2000s, because the odd retard still did this with remaining pistols with the old barrels, and a lot of people who didn't know better just came away with the idea that Glocks simply exploded sometimes.

S&W Sigma lets you pretend you're Harry in Silent Hill. What seals the deal for me is the look
Have not played the game but that sounds badass especially if a Smith got in. Smith it feels only gets love on the revolver side in movies and Vidya, and only the big ones, which is sad, their semi autos are quite fashonable,, and their smaller revolvers are solid as shit.S&W Sigma lets you pretend you're Harry in Silent Hill.
Sadly I think the only revolvers in Resident Evil are Colts.Have not played the game but that sounds badass especially if a Smith got in. I think almost all revolvers in videogames are colts.Sadly I think the only revolvers in Resident Evil are Colts.
I was pretty shocked at the M&P's absolutely shitting on everything in GT's ice and mud test videos.Have not played the game but that sounds badass especially if a Smith got in. Resident Evil 3 original the magnum is a 629 Classic with a 6" barrel. Outbreak has the Model 29 blued with a 6 or 8" can't remember and File 2 has the Model 36 snub on one of the scenarios. Resident Evil 5 has the Model 29 with a 9 or 10" barrel hard to tell because vidya and the Model 500. Resident Evil Revelations 2 has the model 500 dressed up as Barry's .44 from Resident Evil 1 remake but there's a scene that shows it clearly with the 5 round cylinder, S&W trademark and .500 S&W shells loaded and Claire's magnum is a 329 PD with a 4" barrel. Chief Irons' revolver in RE2 Remake is also a 329PD 4". There might be more but those are the ones I remember for Smith's off the top of my head.Sadly I think the only revolvers in Resident Evil are Colts.
M&Ps are seriously underrated for some reason. Not that the first ones didnt have issues but they're still great guns.I was pretty shocked at the M&P's absolutely shitting on everything in GT's ice and mud test videos.
As a guy who owns a 1908 SMLE No.1 Mk.III, the "cheapest" .303 British (Sellier and Bellot, DO NOT use milsurp .303) I have ever found was $1.43 per round. Normally it's $2.67. And .303 British is the only time I keep the brass for reloading. They did modify the Martini Henri to 303 british. Which... wait that doesn't sctually solve the issue of affording the ammo lol
