As I understand it Brianna had not been in school consistently for some time - maybe even a couple of years - and was considered very vulnerable. There is definitely more to this story but I imagine very little of it will reach the papers. In the case of a dead child, the press will always hold back - as we saw with Archie Battersbee - so it's likely we won't know more until a trial.

They are asking A LOT of society, by forcing us to ignore evolution; to coddle their bizarre mental illness; to perform the mental labour of playing pretend for them; to trample over gender norms; and ignore the very real (especially for women) importance of determining the sex of others. And that is just the reasonable ones.

People were happy to politely play along until they were given an inch and took a whole light year. There is very little effort from the trans community to self-police and weed out all the degeneracy and batshittery. It seems the actual majority of them now are nuts.

It sucks for the seemingly very small minority of reasonable trans people, but that's too bad. It's their community's responsibility to salvage their reputation, not ours.

The problem with empathy is that the truly empathetic people rarely speak about it. Who does is selectively empathetic, tribalistic or narcissistic people. who demand that you be empathetic, but only selectively towards those they deem worthy. They claim you lack empathy, but what they actually mean is that you're not redirecting 100% of your empathy exactly where they want you to.

Perhaps you're right. I was going through the tiktok videos saved and to be fair if this kid really was bullied a lot it I could believe it. He was acting weird, even for a dumb teen. Some of his outfits were completely inappropriate for school so I can see him be sent home for that. I would hope a girl who dresses like this would be sent home too.
