There is a scene in Girl, Interrupted when one of the patients who's been already released from the mental hospitals tells another one that she's jealous because she's now free and she can now have a life. And that other girl tells her the truth: she's not released because she's better, she's released because they gave up. That's the case with Jazz. They all just gave up.

Unfortunately I don't think Jazz will every fully understand how much damage his mother forcing him to transition has done to him.

But, and maybe I'm just a bleeding heart fag, I still hold out some hope that he'll wake up to how Narcissitic his mom is and cut her off. And I hope he is able to come to terms with how much worse all of this is because it's been televised.

This rarely happens. Even kids with a more normal development can't cut off their abusive relatives, Jazz won't do it either. He will probably be forgiving of his mom because he needs his mom to survive.

He seems to come so close like many of them do after surgery and then has the paranoid turnaround. They can't ever admit to themselves that the people they call transphobes -instead of the correct term 'rationalist'- could possibly be correct because then they'd either have to find a therapist that wouldn't feed the delusion or become part of the suicide rate. Living with that knowledge, having to come to terms with it is completely effed...

You're not a bleeding heart fag, you're a human and have compassion and understanding for a person who has been let down by everyone around them. It's a sad situation and it's probably taking everything for him to not unalive himself as he can't even go on a date without his brother being forced to tag along.

Televising child abuse needs to stop, but I can't help but feel like maybe the producers are trying to force the audience to connect the transition to the problems Jazz is experiencing as there have been too many close ups of that rainbow pill container on Jazz's nightstand as of late...

It's a performance, another more example of how it's all fake. Many women don't even wax, in fact some use that as a stance against female expectations. The ones who do, don''t talk about it because it's such a normal thing for them it doesn't grant any second thought.

I could see him and Jazz killing Jeanette quite frankly... He'd do what you say. Both of them give off repressed rage vibes for sure. If anyone is familiar with Pauline Parker and Juliet Hulme /Anne Perry, I can see both of them (Sander and Jazz) taking Jeanette on a walk someday and well, Heavenly Creatures directed by Peter Jackson,even with the CGI considered lacking, gives a pretty good indicator of what will happen.
