A "booker" locates and contracts resources for productions. Like if they need a certain lighting or equipment or want certain types of talent. (as an example, they might be talking about lack of wheat production and want a "talent" who can talk about how important wheat is to bread production and will it make bread more expensive?)
A person that books exclusively "talent" (like famous people type) is often called a talent booker. I'm guessing a person that books general stuff is called a "pool booker" (as in there used to be secretarial pools that did the general purpose secretarial work and were not 'executive assistants' or secretaries for important people). So she probably just located and booked stuff or general, not super famous, people.
