Nora can't relax. She needs pills to relax. She has lost her coping mechanisms.
Real life is boring. School and work get tiresome and repetitive. One thing Brianna Wu gets right (if she actually does this, which is questionable) is stay active irl. Yeah, she's a twitter addict like Nora, but Wu flies around dealing with shitlords constantly. Wu has Frank, a podcast or two, etc.
Wu, for all of her faults, is socialised well enough to function.
Nora isn't, and getting out of the drugged up self-victimising she's stuck in will be nearly impossible for her. Everything that sweeps you away from a boring, unsatisfying life is potentially addictive. This is why so many people smoke weed or pop xannies, because they need a temporary escape from monotony. Nora has pushed that temporary to permanent. She's well and truly stuck; too angry with her failures to quit, too antisocial because of her locking herself away for so long to escape the trap she's created for herself.
Because she fails to recognize that she, and only she, is responsible for her unhappiness, she has no chance of fixing anything within herself. She is stuck in a blame game, a slave to her own ego.
I know you will read this, Nora. Not all Kiwis are as bloodthirsty as you believe (or pretend) them to be. However you routinely mock and ignore those here who try to help you, so how can we do anything other than watch you tear yourself apart? No offense but you put on a hell of a show. Nothing on TV is as interesting as you. You are true "reality TV". No script, always tweeting, always asking for an audience. Well, now you have your audience. You got exactly what you were looking for when you made that twitter account. Love it, leave it, do whatever, but stop lying to yourself about how attention-seeking behavior plays out over the internet: you are free to sperg out publicly, we are free to watch and laugh.
Grow the fuck up and go live irl, or shut up and get on with your self-destructive habits as we mock you for them. We all know you're trapped, we all know only you can release yourself from that trap, and some of us would love to see you succeed.
But if you don't we'll love laughing as you flail about, because you are putting on a show for us, and we are happy to watch. You're unintentionally hilarious.
