There was some chatter recently that Lola was turned away from a Marc Jacobs runway show, (for being late), but actually she apparently got in to at least one of them, while looking like a drug addled past-her-prime porn star.

While watching this I was picturing Lola and Rocco playing as kids in the I’m Going To Tell You a Secret documentary/love letter to Israel. Granted they were just little kids - but how trashy and vapid Lola (and perhaps Rocco) turned out. I’m genuinely curious when the script got flipped from “my kids don’t watch television” Madonna to “my daughter is a Cuban coke whore and I love it” Madonna.

Jamie Lee Curtis is also the same age as Madonna and has stayed away from whatever Madonna is doing. I don’t doubt the the beautiful elders of Hollywood don’t get minor procedures and lots of skin care, but as was said, the point is to look good for your age, not like you are 25. It’s sad how many don’t get that.

I think people like Madonna know they are famous for looks and style rather than talent, so feel they must keep it up. While truly talented people-who are really about the music, or really into acting , they just adjust for their age.

Just the fact that Jamie Lee Curtis looks less insane but still acts insane for the modern celebrity in Hollywood is not the bar we should be setting for them to act like role models for society’s sake.

This joke has been made before, but there really is something in the water when one moves to LA.

I feel sorry for female celebrities because they have to tread a very fine line of getting enough good quality cosmetic help to not lose work or be ridiculed for their maturing appearance, but not have enough work that it's noticeable. Even then, they will still likely be ridiculed just for existing over the age of 35.

All the older celebrities praised for ageing well like Helen Mirren have actually had substantial work done.

It's a shame because it skews perception of normal ageing. When people age at a normal rate, like Brigette Bardot, or any non-celeb who can't afford these procedures, they're ridiculed for ageing badly as though it's a moral failure or their fault somehow. When really they've just let nature be.

It's especially bad for women who've been unfortunate enough to age worse than average, because then they are assumed to have led a terrible lifestyle or done something wrong to deserve their face. But it is mostly a matter of luck.

Madonna fans thought she had the strength of character to style out being an older female celebrity - whether it's plastic fantastic like Dolly Parton, or going the ageing gracefully look, people thought she would have made her choice and absolutely owned it. But she hasn't. She's gone the most tragic route possible of desperately trying to be a smooth skinned, sexy 20 year old.

It shows that she was never this strong personality she was marketed as, it was all bluster and she never had anything of substance behind her overt displays of sexuality. Now she's too old for that, and she doesn't know how to handle it or adapt. Her whole ego is based on being sexy. And she's somehow telling herself that by being an ageing hoebag, she's being subversive and fighting ageism, when really she's just proving to the world she is a one-trick pony and still pathetically desperate for male validation.

This one-trick isn't even shocking in this day and age, it's not the 80's, no one is clutching their pearls at cleavage-bearing or anilingus dares, they're rolling their eyes. And Madonna just doesn't get it.

Madonna has fillers in her cheeks, lips, nasolabial folds, forehead, eyelids, temples. She has implants in her cheeks, lips and chin. Once your face is full of crap you can't just take it out. Not to mention, getting your face cut and pulled and injected and things shoved between skin and muscle is traumatizing to the skin. As you age your skin becomes more delicate and slower to heal. She's old, she's fucked with her face so much and put so many fillers in everywhere, that even if it was possible to be dissolved, she would look terrible. Her cope about not caring what people think is obviously false. She deeply hates that she's aging, has done everything she can to avoid it, but that train keeps coming no matter how much money you throw at a butcher. The blowback now that she's fully bogged is because she looks TERRIBLE.

Just wanted to add to this, but it is 100% the fillers in an attemp to keep fine lines and wrinkles as smooth and as non existent as possible. They become addicted to adding more and more and end up having to consistently adding more otherwise they get a saggy look from the stretched out skin.

Elizabeth Grant AKA Lana Del Rey started getting into the filler regime some years ago and she doesnt look like her former self at all.

Fillers... not even once.
