Why would most people want to vote. Have you seen how little of a shit most people give? Voter Participation is already super low across the western world, and thats with the high high bar of "fill out a mail ballot". Turn around and say "Spend four years of your life doing something difficult and dangerous, dropping your career or educational goals until after your done", and then in the other hand let them do none of that and just not worry about government.I'd be a bit concerned about economic distortions resulting from a large chunk of the workforce going into military or civil service instead of production. If 25+% of the population is shooting for the franchise, that seems like your production capabilities would suffer, unless their service is working in a factory. And if gov't-run production-as-service makes up a significant part of the market, is that all going into guns over butter, or do civilian producers have to compete with gov't-run firms with a captive workforce and other advantages? It seems like you'd end up with expansive industrial policy at best, and a full command economy at worst.
Yes, they slow walked out during Trump (blatantly committing sedition by lying to him) and literally sent everything back in less than 24 hours after Biden was installed.
Here you goBro I'm not watching a hour of some dude's cosplay. Now I will read a series of written words (called a article, or essay) if it actually has something to say.
yeah it's been a low-key tell of who's a jobber and who wants to win of "GOP who want to eliminate ballot harvesting and won't use it" and "GOP who want to eliminate ballot harvesting but until then LET'S RIDE, MOTHERFUCKERS"Yes, they slow walked out during Trump (blatantly committing sedition by lying to him) and literally sent everything back in less than 24 hours after Biden was installed.

I look forward to hearing for the next 20 years about how Trump stole the election by stealing it harder than the Democrats did, of which is only fair (because the founding fathers never intended for the Democrats to LOSE an election) but utterly unfair when Trump does it (because only the Democrats are allowed to "be innovative with election organization techniques.")
Seriously tho, this is exactly what everyone and their mother has been screaming about for what feels like decades in political time. Good on the Trump team to embrace the left's rigging. Hope to god he can out-do them (but remember, they've got a 60 year head start on political organizing and have legions of moles in the Republican party dedicated to convincing the GOP not to organize in any way shape or form in lieu of giving McConnell cash instead via WinRed.)
You can vote if you can deadlift your body weight, run a mile in under 8 minutes, and recite the Bill of Rights from memory. My general conception of a good system would be the following:
EDIT- #2 would receive accomodations similar to #1. No taking it easier in any way!
- Permanent license awarded after a standard military term or number of enlisted years (to not disadvantage lifers).
- Permanent license awarded after the completion of a standard amount quality audited work units done for civil service, as defined as state bureaucracy work and/or public infrastructure work. Actual productivity based imstead of time based to not allow just coasting through a timed term.
- Temporary license for individuals who have been net taxpayers in the last 2 fiscal years (mainly as a counter-balance to military adventurism/bureaucratic expension as they'd be "payomg the bills").
- Civilians would be allowed to "vote" but only for special representatives advocatimg for them but with no actual state imfluence (think Roman tribumes without veto power).
They have something else to keep the GOP from organizing.(but remember, they've got a 60 year head start on political organizing and have legions of moles in the Republican party dedicated to convincing the GOP not to organize in any way shape or form in lieu of giving McConnell cash instead via WinRed.)
Just make it people who contribute net positive in taxes combine with constant voter roll purges. This combined will exclude all the trannies, single moms and terminally online . Like its not that complicated fuck only people with voter id and who register to vote few months before who actually have to move their asses to do would do miracles. The US system is plagued with dead voters, immigrant voters etcMy general conception of a good system would be the following:

Except if your like me who is a (apologies for the PL) 90% Totally Disabled Individual Unemployabiloty Permanent and Total disabled vet kas a reult of my serive to my country), who receives disability pay from the VA and also social security. Va disability is tax free and the amount I get from social security is way below the amount of income that is considered taxable. Even with my wife's paltry income. Under your plan I wouldn't have the right to vote, even though I have more than earned it.Just make it people who contribute net positive in taxes combine with constant voter roll purges. Agreed, but the trick will be keeping him out without pissing off his voter base to the point of staying home, or worse, Minecrafting.I'm not sure the RNC will even allow Trump the nomination this time. It cost the establishment so much simply to get him out the first time. I don't think they'll want to even risk the possibility of him getting in again.
Remember how Pelosi looked like a fucking nervous wreck during her press conferences in the last year of Trumps Presidency? The higher ups were losing it.
Yeah, this is a good example of why it's not cut and dry. Primarily what's clear is that "Literally whoever the fuck can vote, no checks and balances!" is hurting the country.Except if your like me who is a (apologies for the PL) 90% Totally Disabled Individual Unemployabiloty Permanent and Total disabled vet kas a reult of my serive to my country), who receives disability pay from the VA and also social security. Edit: Grammer and spelling
The RNC is hoping pseudopopulists like DeSantis will deprive the Trump campaign of just enough oxygen to take him out of the running. What they really want are token minorities who are committed neoconservatives; candidates like Nimrata Haley and Marco Rubio fit in here. DeSantis is a white guy and you can’t own and trigger da libs with another white guy. The RNC will unironically think that an all minority cabinet is the true way to own Democrats, ignoring the complete and utter shitshow when Liz Truss attempted that last year in Bongistan. Of course Republicans are going to be stupid enough to try it again and act shocked when they experience the same results.I'm not sure the RNC will even allow Trump the nomination this time. Yeah, the thing is at the end of the day the RINOs still need Republicans to vote for them. If Trump runs independent (or, even worse for them, starts a new “populist party”), that’s the end of the GOPe - you can’t be effective controlled opposition if the anywhere from 25-50% (if not more) of your voterbase suddenly leaves after having another option for the first time in their lives.Agreed, but the trick will be keeping him out without pissing off his voter base to the point of staying home, or worse, Minecrafting.
Agreed. Sadly it seems we've let so many things go without checks or balances or just ignored those checks and balances for too long. Whether we can right the ship or not seems to be the question.Yeah, this is a good example of why it's not cut and dry. Then the question becomes if the answer is to just let the ship sink by any means necessary and build a new one.Agreed. Build a new one might be better, like kick out every elected official down to the mayors and start over from scratch. Then the question becomes if the answer is to just let the ship sink by any means necessary and build a new one.
even Mayor Kane?Build a new one might be better, like kick out every elected official down to the mayors and start over from scratch.
Only problem with that plan is we would just do the same thing in the future. We might buy us some time but I firmly belive we won't learn from past mistakes. Fuck look at every "lesson" we should have learned something from that has already happened or has gotten worse. I wished I had the answer and don't want to come off as black-pilled, but seriously have no idea what will happen to allow us to break the cycle.Build a new one might be better, like kick out every elected official down to the mayors and start over from scratch.
the lesson is "really enjoy ripping shit to the ground, it'll probably be at least a few generations until somebody gets to do it again"Only problem with that plan is we would just do the same thing in the future.
