I'd be a bit concerned about economic distortions resulting from a large chunk of the workforce going into military or civil service instead of production. If 25+% of the population is shooting for the franchise, that seems like your production capabilities would suffer, unless their service is working in a factory. And if gov't-run production-as-service makes up a significant part of the market, is that all going into guns over butter, or do civilian producers have to compete with gov't-run firms with a captive workforce and other advantages? It seems like you'd end up with expansive industrial policy at best, and a full command economy at worst.

Why would most people want to vote. Have you seen how little of a shit most people give? Voter Participation is already super low across the western world, and thats with the high high bar of "fill out a mail ballot". Turn around and say "Spend four years of your life doing something difficult and dangerous, dropping your career or educational goals until after your done", and then in the other hand let them do none of that and just not worry about government.

I'd be surprised if the rate was above 5% - And we already see huge portions of potential working populance not making shit for 4-6 years, we call it college. The system can soak people stepping out for other reasons.

My general conception of a good system would be the following:

1. Permanent license awarded after a standard military term or number of enlisted years (to not disadvantage lifers).
2. Permanent license awarded after the completion of a standard amount quality audited work units done for civil service, as defined as state bureaucracy work and/or public infrastructure work. Actual productivity based imstead of time based to not allow just coasting through a timed term.
3. Temporary license for individuals who have been net taxpayers in the last 2 fiscal years (mainly as a counter-balance to military adventurism/bureaucratic expension as they'd be "payomg the bills").
4. Civilians would be allowed to "vote" but only for special representatives advocatimg for them but with no actual state imfluence (think Roman tribumes without veto power).

EDIT- #2 would receive accomodations similar to #1. No taking it easier in any way!

You can vote if you can deadlift your body weight, run a mile in under 8 minutes, and recite the Bill of Rights from memory.

Just make it people who contribute net positive in taxes combine with constant voter roll purges. This combined will exclude all the trannies, single moms and terminally online . Like its not that complicated fuck only people with voter id and who register to vote few months before who actually have to move their asses to do would do miracles. The RNC is hoping pseudopopulists like DeSantis will deprive the Trump campaign of just enough oxygen to take him out of the running. What they really want are token minorities who are committed neoconservatives; candidates like Nimrata Haley and Marco Rubio fit in here. DeSantis is a white guy and you can’t own and trigger da libs with another white guy. The RNC will unironically think that an all minority cabinet is the true way to own Democrats, ignoring the complete and utter shitshow when Liz Truss attempted that last year in Bongistan. Of course Republicans are going to be stupid enough to try it again and act shocked when they experience the same results.

Yeah, the thing is at the end of the day the RINOs still need Republicans to vote for them. If Trump runs independent (or, even worse for them, starts a new “populist party”), that’s the end of the GOPe - you can’t be effective controlled opposition if the anywhere from 25-50% (if not more) of your voterbase suddenly leaves after having another option for the first time in their lives.

In the long run, I think the best option (for America) for is is if Trump starts a new party and splits the Republican vote, almost certainly losing the election but dealing a mortal blow to the GOP (and, by extension, the uniparty) in the process. For the GOP, who wants to avoid this at all costs, the best bet is just to give Trump the nomination, and if he wins stonewall him to the best of their ability during his second term.

Only problem with that plan is we would just do the same thing in the future. We might buy us some time but I firmly belive we won't learn from past mistakes. Fuck look at every "lesson" we should have learned something from that has already happened or has gotten worse. I wished I had the answer and don't want to come off as black-pilled, but seriously have no idea what will happen to allow us to break the cycle.
