Ah, good point. I forgot that being a normal, productive member of society is deemed "non-acceptable" to hippies.

Also, the 60's are over, why are hippies still a thing? You don't see Beatniks anymore, you don't see Flappers Charlestoning their way down the street, and yet hippies persist. It's a sociological anomaly that offends me on a vague level.

It's at least partially due to all the drugs, people get spaced out and decide this is how life should be, peaceful and trippy and that their weird musings and ideas they come up with during trips should be realised.
