From what I understand he had a real shitty upbringing so surprise surprise, AGP, some fetishes and an attention complex.

Trooning out was a demented "win-win" for him.

He thought it would bring him millions of followers by sucking breadtuber cock (not realizing that breadtube is actually rather tiny by comparison to even some niche gamer communities), but when that failed it became a very good shield to hide behind so he wouldn't have to admit his loss of relevancy is his own damn fault.

Yep, he was already a massive degenerate long before trooning out. Current Year identitarian bullshit just made it "acceptable" for him to come out and do it all in the open, but you'd see him making some extremely questionable jokes even in relatively mild shows like his early Co-optional Podcast appearances.

It could've been Cyberpunk 2077, I tend to be a lot more forgiving towards old Jim. My theory is based on this review from 2016, a Jimquisition from 2020 and my own experiences observing more 'normal' troon communities. The short version is that in the review he talks about how he doesn't like that he was seen as someone who 'reveled in hatred' which I think there is some truth to because he gets defensive over criticism and when people throw shit back his way, he also talks about how during his childhood he was subject to emotion abuse by his step-father. In the Jimquisition he claims he had a psychiatric evaluation and was diagnosed with Bipolar II and CPTSD.

Even if you only believe half the stuff it paints Jim as an unhappy person effectively stuck doing a job using a persona that he doesn't like and if you believe him fully then he's a deeply disturbed individual too, I think at least in the beginning he trooned out because troon communities will endlessly give each other asspats and stroke each other's egos in a way that would be very appealing to Jim. I've seen it many times myself that deeply unhappy people will fall down the troon hole because they'd get instant amd constant validation and emotional support.

No. I only know one who made her career as her trans persona. She's on mainstream tv and well respected. Though she behaves her age and size and doesn't screech about being trans or about dressing as a woman. Just does her job as a sharptongued hostess. Reminds me of dame Edna in a way.

Yeah, the regularity of the bleed is probably the most interesting thing about Jim at this point to me, like YouTube's algorithm is actively managing his decline for him to give him chances to turn the channel around. The only logical reason I can think of for a super steady -1k subscribers a week for 2 years is that when a channel is big enough YouTube keeps cycling who gets exposed to him through the subscriber base, hopefully to keep the shedding from happening all at once. I think (without a lot of evidence) that a lot more people would have fled per video if they'd seen Jim recently.
