NoraReed / Nora Fleck / Nora Reed Heineman-Fleck and the Norasphere - The neverending fuck-ups of a sadistic thumb and tons of white knights

I'll be the first to say that losing your V-card to someone you didn't really love sucks, but it says earlier that they were teenagers when this happened, so it sounds like both of them just had no fucking clue what they were doing. Dude might've been an asshole who didn't respect that she was uncomfortable with having a sexual relationship (and I say might because we're only getting one side of the story), but it's not the same kind of trauma as the hands-to-the-wall pants-to-the-ground variety of rape, and she's had plenty of time to mature and deal with the experience.

But she's not dealing with it. The final part of the "game" makes it clear that even now, ten years later, she is having literal nightmares about her experiences. She's horrified by it. She even identifies as "sometimes" asexual because she wasn't attracted to him. And yet she considers the fact that she's living in her parents' basement, paranoid, constantly posting long rants about feminism, a triumph. An inspiration to victims of sexual assault everywhere. It does not occur to her that "it's okay to stew in your own misery, as long as you're alive!" is a horrible message to other victims of trauma, and a doubly horrible one to be telling herself.

Nora needs therapy, like, yesterday. She needs to get off the internet, away from the asspat brigade, and figure out how to work with that bruised-up brain of hers. But in all likelihood, she'll just keep taking the easy way out, snorting Xanax and pretending everything's all kumbayah. What a sad way to live.
I'm more inclined to think it's all bullshit from start to finish. I don't think she's traumatized in the least. I think that she found a controversial issue to latch onto, made a game about it to seek attention, and banked on the fact that it's considered uncouth to challenge rape claims.
The likely truth of it is that she remembered some unpleasant or regrettable sexual experience from years ago and exaggerated it until she had the story she needed to join the cool victims club.
She doesn't need help, and she's not traumatized or suffering. She just desperately wants to be.

It could easily be that she's exaggerating like crazy, but I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt there. Partially because I'm a bit of a generous person, partially because I wanted to show that the story is kind of awful when taken at face value.

And really, fake or not, the message of this game is very consistent with her attitudes concerning every vaguely "traumatic" experience in her life: never get over anything, revel in victimhood forever. It doesn't matter whether she honestly believes that, the very fact that she's constantly pulling these rants on Twitter, pills-in-hand, is all too revealing of what she's done to her mental state.

I think it's funnier that she makes the argument in that shitty game of hers that she fucked her own life up because of the writings of a male LGBT advocate that made her think too much.

Oh no question, but my point was to highlight that this is precisely the way she wanted things to be. I'm saying it's not a case of a fucked mental state, it's conscious choice. She seeks out the opportunity to revel in victimhood because she enjoys it. She does nothing but rave on twitter because she likes raving on twitter. She doesn't get over shit because she doesn't want to.
What she's experiencing right now? The whole situation with us and the suicide talk and the bullshit and the weeping over everything? This is what she wants. This is her desired state of being. She has an external aggressor to blame everything on. A dragon to slay, if you will. It's essentially Internet Munchhausen Syndrome.
She hasn't fucked her life up, because this is exactly the way she wants it to be. Whether or not that makes her crazy I leave to debate.

@lecher From what you know about her, do you think Nora contacted people Randi Harper was working with or 'encouraged' someone to do so? Reference.

I don't know. Certainly Nora is very vindictive and she is smart enough to cloak aggression as activism or self-defense. But Randi employs much the same tactics, so who knows what really happened. I'm just enjoying the milk.

Sort of. I mean it's clear that she's been cultivating the attention she's getting here, but there might be a disconnect between the part of her psyche which is doing it and her internal monologue. It's quite common for people to have behaviours which work intelligently toward some unconscious goal that's hidden from the person's awareness.

She should have just made up a story about getting for-reals raped if she wanted to play pretendsies as a rape-victim for twitter asspats. That way at least it wouldn't be an outrageous spit in the face to actual sexual assault victims.

But this is a "real" rape by SJW standards.

I think it's funnier that she makes the argument in that shitty game of hers that she fucked her own life up because of the writings of a male LGBT advocate that made her think too much.

Sort of like she's currently fucking her life up because of her obsession with Randi and Kiwis. And previously the mayor. And all the sites she got kicked off for being a spaz.

Off topic about the bastardization of the word rape:

It used to always have connotations of violence, but then someone pointed out that being coerced into sex against your will isn't always violent, and they made a valid point. That shit is still wrong and people shouldn't do it. Thing is, if you fuck your boyfriend just because you want to go to sleep and he won't stop whining and you'd rather just get it over with, that's nu-rape but it ain't the same thang as OG rape and it's really unhelpful to conflate them. This is ultimately a failure of language in that cultural attitudes have shifted and we don't have the necessary diversity of words to accommodate it.

Like, I'm perfectly willing to buy into the SJW line that harassing people into letting you fuck them is a thing that is Bad, and probably a Big Deal, but I can't simultaneously accept that and agree with the 'rape is rape' line. If you're going to expand the definition you need to enforce distinctions between the old, commonly accepted definition and your new one.

Personally, I'm more inclined to see Randi as the more mature one by far. Unlike Nora, she knows not only when certain battles are not only not worth fighting, she also knows when some crap is so stupid any intended benefit is not worth the damage it will cause first.

It's why she's come out against a lot of utterly retarded hugbox bullshit like mass IP blocking and trying to ban half the internet for talking shit about you. Randi isn't an angel by any means, but unlike Nora, she's definitely a lot wiser to the internet.

And the smartest thing she's done so far is to consistently ignore Nora's deranged bullshit, only commenting when Nora tried to do actual harm to her own interests in a consequential way, but otherwise has made a point of not engaging the loonbag.

Rape is rape and is always a violent crime. Coercion is violence.

Coercion is not being persuaded into consenting to something you later regret.

They are entirely aware of the distinction they want to get rid of. They're just lying scumbags.

Conspiracy theory: "Nora Reed" is a spambot

I put forward my evidence that she has a large repertoire of topics to pull from, but ultimately her limits are shown in the repeated "reminder that RANDI HARPER DESTROYED MY LIFE" posts.

Easiest dox ever. It was the first result that popped up and it matches.

Here's Firebomb173, a loser with an entry on the Gamergate Wikia. They retweeted and favorited Nora's tweet about taking down Kiwi Farms.
