What be this frustration you ask? Well to put it simply it’s with modern society itself. BAP’s supporters largely consider themselves aricrocrats or Nietzchean ubermensch, in general they are men who disgruntled with the female-nigger centric nature of society and what Guenon might have called the “reign of quantity”.

BAPists in general prioritize vitalism over any ordered set of political ideals or programs, sexual prowess over chastity or restraint, and aggressive anti moralism over staid sermons. They want to be surrounded by Hypborean princesses, riding tigers will slaughtering niggers on a golden chariot. (I’m sure a BAPist reading this will call it based).

I’d say this is a fantasy or it’s ridiculous especially given BAP’s homosexual posts and the fact his intellectual idol Strauss was a Jewish academic. But it speaks to the deepest desires, aspirations and fantasies many men have-in a way normal conservatism or reactionary politics or even WNism does not. To be a conqueror, to fuck and fuck with abandon, to slaughter and kill and butcher, to not be troubled by guilt or moral conscience as you burn millions of subhuman vermin and leave them to be feasted on by the crows.

Nick is also a whiny oversharing social media fruitcake with nothing interesting to say. Motherfucker eats McDonald's and puts all his retardation in public. BAP doesn't post photos of himself, isn't constantly tweeting, avoids goyslop, and mostly stays in his lane of having a weird radio show for weirdos. BAP is also despite the weird online persona and absurd antics sincere in a way Nick is not. Nick and his supporters know their “movement” is not going to do anything, it’s an opportunity to grift. BAP also grifts and winking irony is probably THE defining feature of his supporters but you can tell he actually at some level believes what he says. Underneath the Antics, the baby talk, and bikini models and Adonis gay physique posting you can tell he genuinely believes in le Nietzchean vitalism. He might know it’s never going to conquer the world or whatever, but it’s not insincere.

The way Nick’s Catholicism is, or his “America first” sloganeering.

(This isn’t to say I’m a BAP fan btw-BAP has a lot of detestable people in his orbit and I think his influence while electrifying on young men is ultimately harmful as it leads to them not focusing on concrete existential problems).

There is some discussion of BAP over on https://www.poliscirumors.com/ (kind of 4chan for polisci grad students like econjobrumors.com for economists) and I can taste some resentment over the fact that Costin's book/work is actually read/has a following outside of academia whereas the tomes all the other aspiring professors write for extremely small audiences who are paid to read them linger in obscurity. For instance, the Tablet article about BAP's dissertation was retweeted by Joyce Carol Oates, that's (cultural) influence other academics can only dream about.

BAP got that oversharing thing out of his system on obscure message boards like Salo, there were entire threads dedicated to BAP's daily dinners and work out routines. All these posts were deleted on BAP's request by his chum Niccolo Soldo when he started seeking the bigger public on Twitter. Some of the threads and posts survive in internet archives but younger BAP was more like Nick then what most BAP fans would like to imagine.

BAP is quite seriously mad online all the time and as much of a lolcow as anyone--his jokes are mostly just cover for saying what he believes, which is normal for RW posters and understandable. He also fedposted right after lockdown pretty blatantly and says a lot of retarded stuff for a Yale PhD who got into MIT undergrad.
