It's kind of bizarre (at least to me) that the LGBs are still grouped together with the Ts, because it's really not the same thing at all. It probably seemed logical a few decades ago when trooning was basically just a branch of gay subculture. Now it doesn't make any sense. Being gay or lesbian means you want to have sex with people who have the same genitalia as you. Transsexuality on the other hand is a complex brew of mental instability, narcissism, self-loathing, political extremism, megalomania, infantilism and fetishism. In some ways it's more like a religion than anything else.
I can understand why gays/lesbians don't want to feel like they're excluding these people, but they need to cast that dead weight overboard.
Oh, the T knows fine well that they're a parasite on the LGB. But they also know that the LGB has way, way, way more clout than them.
There are, of course, reasons for this. Chief among them, that the LGB don't tend to make the outlandish demands of others that the T do, and for the most part, seem to want to go along to get along.
I also like to think that it's because the LGB are naturally occurring, not something astroturfed by the corporate interests of Big Pharma and such.
You can just
be gay, and you don't need to
buy anything. You can participate in 'rainbow capitalism', sure - and, oh boy, do they have a lot of crap with the rainbow flag on for you, if that's your bag, baby - but it's not a requirement.
But if you're trans? Oh, you need to buy makeup, you need to buy new clothes, you need to buy wigs, you need to buy hormones, you need to buy facial feminisation surgeries, you need to buy hairline reduction surgeries, you need to buy top surgeries, you need to buy bottom surgeries...
In any case, hitching their wagon to the considerably more popular LGB shields the T from a lot of criticism, offers them the appearance of legitimacy and gives them a lot more power.
However, all this comes at a cost to the parasite's host. Studies show that people are increasingly less tolerant of the LGBT nowadays than they were say, ten, fifteen years ago. I wonder why.
But don't you EVER date suggest that maybe the LGB and the T should separate, and focus solely on issues that only affect their respective areas of interest, no matter how obvious or sensible that might sound. Why, that would make you a horrendous, hateful bigot, just like the evil bastards at that famous hate group, the LGB Alliance.
Don't you know there's no LGB without the T?
