Caught up a bit with this thread and I'm confused. I thought Labelle consider herself a transgender activist (even running for government positions and everything)? Why is she so opposed to answering questions or even confronting offensive people? I thought that's what activist figures were for; educating an uninformed public and fighting to change certain ingrained cultural opinions, no?

I don't understand anything in the "safe space" era.

Why should they have to explain themselves to other people or attempt to conform to society like the gays did in the 80's and 90's to gain wide acceptance among western civilization? You should just blindly accept that they are righteous and honest.

There's a lot of reasons the safe space era is happening right now, but the two most major factors are poor parenting and access the internet, where you can always find people who agree with you.

Or maybe its just a form of irony that none of us can comprehend, and they're proving the conservatives "Slippery Slope" banter to be true for giggles.

Because most 'tranny' activists in this situation don't like the idea of having a civil discussion because the moment that they explain that they don't have GID, their entire argument falls apart.

When asked questions, she claims she's not trying to be a spokesperson for transgender people, just that she writes a comic to empower transgender people.

While she travels the world speaking to children.

About transgender rights and such.

But she's not trying to be a spokesperson.

I almost want to make a timeline for the downward spiral. Based on what we know:

  1. Born Guillaume Labelle
  2. Claim: rough childhood. Stepfather was a meanie for Guillaume's strange behavior. Later, however, they become supportive.
  3. Age 13: DeviatArt stranger says he's a tranny.
  4. Age 14: Home Economics teacher says no to making dresses because oppression. Cries to pedophile boyfriend. Grandmother accepts him as a dressmaking tranny.
  5. Somewhere here the boyfriend dumps him, causing him to resent cis men.
  6. Goes to college, gets degree in some form of education?
  7. Teaches at school in Yukon, reasons for termination of employment speculative. Was still Guillaume, then.
  8. 2012: Guillaume, supposedly about to undergo SRS, has a transgender presentation cancelled by Yukon school. Going by Genevive. Sophie not added to the name.
  9. 2014: Runs for office as part of the Option Nationale Quebec separatist party. Appearance of "Sophie-Genevive". Loses because no one either knew or even cared of his existence.
  10. Starts indoctrinating teaching at camps for "questioning" children.
  11. Becomes tranny "advocate", writes "Penguins Don't Judge".

Anyone else remember that episode of Billy & Mandy where Mandy smiled and the universe imploded because of how terrifying it was? At least Billy & Mandy was merciful enough not to show us.

Also, why in the hell is she wearing the same kind of outfit I'd see on a 3-year-old? Being a spokesman for children doesn't mean mentally being one/dressing like one.
