What happened to 9chan?

I vividly recall Josh linking 9chan few years ago even hosting it. I lost all the links to it after change of computers and harddrives.

Is 9chan still around with entire boards filled with Josh pictures? Or did it die with Lucas’ and Elliot's delusional DDoS crusade?

Josh gave up moderating it, because it kept getting raided by pedophiles posting CP.
However, instead of simply shutting the whole thing down, he gave it to some other people from another chan (the exact one eludes me), and they hosted it for a good while, until they eventually gave up on it entirely, too, finally shutting it down on September 14th 2022.

Oh age old death rattle of image board, spamming content that break federal laws. Be it, dump of SSN, banking details or CP.

So many boards died that way, days before infinity next even.

I got bittersweet dose of nostalgia off that.
