Saw this kinda shit every day when I was stuck in LATAM, criminals would employ underage kids because if they got caught they get sent to juvie instead of actual jail, and of course nobody wanted the political fallout of changing that law. A guy attempts to follow her, makes it around the pole, but then gets taken out at the knees by a dog from behind. Being knocked down changes his direction of flight, and he dies trying to hide behind the vehicle driver (who probably would've made it if he hadn't been tackled by the guy who'd just been wiped out by a slobbermutt). The only apparent survivors of that ambush were the woman & the dog.

The guy had actually already been run over before the clip starts, that's why they others are banging on the doors, and apparently there's earlier footage of the truck being looted, but I've not been able to find it. At least the driver took Bill Hicks's advice to avoid ending up like Reginald Denny in the LA riots, and doesn't seem to have been charged with anything.
