There's really nothing to say about that statement, it speaks for itself and I like how accurately it describes his mindset. It's easy to insult the fuck out of him and call him out, but hell at this point it sounds like a broken record, just like he is.
He's not even grieving in a healthy way, he's only sad about himself when you break it down. He claims to have loved his dad but if you analyze that "love" deeper, he's upset because his dad was the only one who was passive to his non-stop beratement and abuse. Both his mother and Sherman would openly call him out while his dad was more fed-up and simply acted agreeable in order to get him to shut up, which I think I've mentioned before. He instantly makes his dad's death entirely about himself and connects it to his delusions about his deceased brother, and proceeds to be entirely unempathetic about his family's grief. Hell, the callous fuck even posts a screenshot from a FaceTime call where his dad looks deathly ill and completely gaunt.
In the last 2 years, half of that household have passed away. One more death and Earl's gonna end up in a fucking gutter. He's not getting a girlfriend, he's too weird for even the most insane bitches in all of Ohio, and aside from his mother his family's not giving him any free space to stay. In a few years time you might see Earl in a YouTube video titled "Dayton Ohio crackhead compilation" in the back of a bus muttering to himself about a dead skinhead beating him.
