I think Russ is decades behind the times with his Brothel Resort idea. NV Legal brothels peaked at 34 in the 80s and tend to hover around 21 if that nowadays. His recently-ish visited Sherri's in Pahrump that already tries/tried to differentiate itself as Resort since the late 90s early 00s (pools, tennis, hotel, ect). During the 90s when the Madam book was written about Sherri's the resort part was being built out and they had and used a helicopter pad (long abandoned) to bring men from Vegas faster (read 2007 updated edition of Madam, madams, SW, and customers are as entertainingly retarded and flawed as one would guess). Sounds like back in the day they were BUSY.
Then it hit me the world and the market has changed. Vegas conventions are not almost entirely men like the 90s (hello CES that evolved to CES/AVN just accidentally always being at the same time) prostitution and gambling are everywhere (even if illegal) and internet prostitution is convenient and discreet. I bet brothels were lucrative then, I doubt they are fortune makers now. I don't understand how Nevada legal brothels manage to stay afloat now but they quietly do and the shitbox rural area they are located in desperately need and benefit from they taxes and fees from the brothels (Sherri's saved Nye county meals on wheels for $7,000 back in the 2000s). It does seem like they aren't as accepting of low money customers now sorry Russ.
Russ wanting $100M to build 10 brothels in 4 years is beyond ridiculous. His best shot would have been making a move toward Hof's Love Ranch in Crystal, NV (a bit more than an hour from Vegas) when it went up for sale in August 2022 for $1.2M it sold October 2022 for $1.3M and is still permanently closed (since Hof died there 201

, the buyer has announced zero plans to reopen and it's speculation that it could end up a brothel, a hemp farm, an RV park, or a housing development (my guess is it will be a trailer park).
Brothels are almost a nonentity for people that live in or visit NV. In over 15 years the most evidence of brothels existing I've seen with my own eyes were print ads in classified sections of newspapers and a single billboard between Vegas and Nye county during the pandemic advertising the Chicken Ranch as a brothel history museum (Brothels normally are severely restricted on how and where they can advertise and the billboard wouldn't have been allowed had it been for a then currently operating brothel).
Brothels mostly seem to be the domain of real estate investors that don't mind a little sleaze and a bit of risk in the name of diversifying holdings.
I love how he thinks he can take on Uber and Lyft and he is so stuck on calling a transportation system Cart (C.A.R.T. and Cart U). Does he not realize many people have thought they could out Uber/Lyft Uber and Lyft. Those big players are pretty much just bleeding money in the hopes they can replace independent contractors with robots anyway. So it's not a game to play unless you have buckets of money to burn.
