So I've not really been around these parts since the Keffels ordeal so I am massively out of the loop. I used to follow Kevin and the Tranch threads pretty closely but I'm now majorly out of the loop.

I've caught up from the last feature but I had a few questions:
1. What happened with the vicuna? I remember there being one but I've seen it referred to as Pepe the rape vicuna and I just wanted further context on that
2. Can anybody give me a brief run down on happenings between keffels and the mass exodus happening? I know Paul had started kicking a fuss up on twitter but I'm wondering what triggered things?
3. There's been talk of confirmations of mass graves, can anybody point me in the right direction for those screenshots/evidence?

In return for my autism and the impending clocks I deserve, I have some screenshots from Paul's twitter account. I've shared some of these in the DMs of another farmer, not sure if they shared wider once the farms had that down time. I hadn't shared with the thread previously as I didn't want to lose my leak and Paul only had an incredibly small pool of followers at the time. I think some of these he scrubbed from his account before making it public again and apologies if any have been shared already.

I recommend just going back to page ~820 (the start of August) and clicking through the highlights until you catch up. There's been a lot going on.
Alternatively, you could read this brief round-up I wrote back in December, but it's a bit outdated. Since then, Paul has been much more aggressively going after the Tranchers, and they just recently relocated to Penny's parents' house. It seems like most of their animals have either died, been rehomed, or were possibly abandoned at the Tranch. Big drama.

Some quick answers to your questions:

1. Pepe the Vicuna was beloved and often photographed by Penny. Penny also liked to joke about how often Pepe would try (& sometimes succeed) to break into the female alpacas' enclosure. I think a few people pulled up articles saying that vicunas are an undomesticated species, and they shouldn't be kept together with alpacas. Male vicunas like Pepe will bully the male alpacas and aggressively try to mate with the female ones. As confirmed in a video I found, Penny named Pepe after the cartoon character Pepe Le Pew, a rapey / "romantic" skunk. So clearly Penny thinks Pepe's "antics" are very funny.
2. The Tranch has been floundering financially for quite awhile, and their more recent GoFundMe campaigns haven't been able to save them. Paul has also gone to war since he (together with his mom & ex-husband) actually owns the Tranch property, and the Tranchers owe him like $20k.
3. The mass graves have long been rumored. There's a lot of circumstantial evidence that's been posted in this thread, but the confirmation came recently from Paul himself:

For the leaf to have a chance he needs to go there with a new 12volt battery and a 220 generator with the correct plugs to get it on a 220 charge.
The leaf will not charge the main battery with a dead 12 volt battery. The 12 volt battery needs to be good enough to run the computer through the whole charging cycle of the main battery. So just "jump starting" a failed 12 volt battery wont work. I suspect fedposter J was to dumb to figure this out. If you just plug in a completely flat dead leaf nothing will happen. If you "jump start" it will charge for a little bit then stop charging when you unhook the jumper cables.

I don't know the chemistry of the batteries in the leaf but I suspect leaving them flat dead for 2 years with many freeze/thaw cycles has completely fucked them.

Electric cars are such a meme. And the Leaf is the meme'est of them all.

Batteries that have been sitting for 2 years seldom are able to hold a decent charge (see below diagram) due to the inner cells depleting their ability to hold s charge. Cold Cranking Amps or CCAs are cut in half at freezing temperature, combine that with the battery cells deteriorating over time, and you end up with a car that's going no where. Oh and Boner would be LUCKY if a dealer gave him 2k for a trade in

I think what he's trying to say (using the wrong battery techonology, as I believe that's the Lead Acid chart but still has some map to the Leaf's Liion) is that the Leaf has been sitting with fully discharged batteries in deep freeze/thaw cycle for a couple years now. The batteries, which only last so long anyway, are likely completely fucked.

The only way that car is making it to the dealer is if he pushes it.

I'm guessing he abandoned the Leaf because it's damaged. Electric and hybrid cars (especially older ones) have incredibly fragile suspensions and will shake themselves to pieces on dirt roads, often alarmingly quickly. A friend of mine took his Prius on holiday to a place accessed by a half-mile dirt track and it lasted less than a week before the tracking went out so badly the wheels were jammed against the wells and it had to be retrieved on a low-loader.

You couldn't come up with a less suitable vehicle for a ranch if you tried. Guess Boner learned that Earl doesn't just drive an F150 because he hates polar bears, they're actually ideally suited to ranching.
