The answer is yes. All of them. Low carb intake = low oxidative stress = low requirement of anti-oxidants, at least theoretically. (cf)I guess the other "real question" is, is it optimal? From various perspectives, can an average person afford it? You might not get scurvy, but is an optimal amount of vitamin C or whatever being absorbed?
The more realistic question is, is it safe for people with existing metabolic disorders like diabetes. The answer is probably no because hyperinsulinemia causes all sorts of issues, which MAY hamper the digestive capability of certain animal nutrients. I can explain why this can lead to things like kidney stones (not oxalate stones, but urate stones) if you're willing to listen to it.
Would banning alcohol be alcoholism relapse fuel??Would banning various favorite foods be eating disorder fuel?
No one is banned for anything, if you don't like it, just quit. No one fucking cares.
That's irrelevant because the main focus here is health not athletic performance. That being said, from what I saw/experienced, carb intake is probably preferable, BUT there are pro athletes (eg Chito Vera in UFC) who can do fine. I guess the answer is... it depends??Would physical performance be impacted by the lack of carbs?
One thing to note here is, fat adaptation takes time (9 weeks on minimum). You should take that into consideration.

It's true Saladino had health issues but no one really knows how/why it happened. Short period N=1 isn't very useful. If N=1 is so important, I can bring up guys like Shawn Baker and argue how carnivore is safe and effective. (that being said, it seems iron overlord caused the low T, though.)
Also, I have to mention no one knows if those test markers are actually useful/reliable in the first place (eg people keto diet usually has lower T3 hormone levels but it doesn't affect their functions).
You can count energy sources (fat/carb) with calories in kinda sorta semi reliable way (yet still unreliable especially if you mix fat and carb), but it's utterly useless when it comes to measuring the nutritional values of amino acids because human body barely utilize them as energy.Speaking of Derek Moreplatesmoredates, here he talks about someone who claimed calories dont matter om carnie
Still, you probably can use calories if you measure the caloric values of things like feces/breath/body heat/movement while properly adjust the values based on macro nutrient ratio, but.... who does that??
I can go down the rabbit hole about how but you have to read the sources I cited in my previous post first because Randle Cycle becomes very relevant here again.
I have a suggestion, why don't you make a thread about just Saladino (or Liver King or specific forum/sub/discord)? The vast majority of your sources are from Saladino, it seems like you have a personal vendetta against him for whatever reason. Did you pay him or something?
It just doesn't feel right to treat him as a part of keto/carnivore/whatever communities when he is treated as a lolcow by all of them (example, highly recommend you to actually read it). He even made videos about how keto/pure carnivore are potentially dangerous, which makes this entire thread kinda moot. Either way, don't forget mentioning Saladino vs Tufano lolsuits, the battle of homos that's a must.
as a side note : you get this
as an auto reply on some related Discord servers, he is not very popular to say the least.
