The way the water system works there he wont have running water soon when the tank (El Tanaco) on the roof runs dry.
The system needs electricity to work.
I know we say this a lot in this subforum, but imagine the smell. Ralph will probably get a chubby since he gets off on the smell of human shit.

https://www.cfe.mx/Pages/default.aspx appears to be the power company if anyone fluent in taco wants to see if they can find details on customer disconnect

Do they really pump cisterns? Even Tijuana had real running water and the cisterns were only backup if it failed (about once a year)
I have a theory. The pulling of Harry Bux left Meigh's account unable to pay the bill so they had to switch to Ralph's, or a different payment form which:

Is Meigh fluent enough in Spanish to be competently signing contracts and paying bills in Mexico? I’m gonna guess no.

That could …. Actually be it. Mejico like many third world countries is amazing burrocratic up the ass if you follow the rules - which nobody does unless you piss them off. Which a five star would never do.

If the Mexican cops pulled this stunt I will put a Blue Lives Matter bumper sticker on my car.

The house Ralph is in is usually a short term rental on booking.com so utilities would be in the landlords name, but Ralph agreed to a long term rental. As part of renting it for months, and getting a cheaper rate, the owner told Ralph the utilities need to be under Ralph’s name (because fuck that window AC bill lol).

Could just be Ralph never got the electric under his name and his BFF landlord cut the juice because he told Ralph the utilities were his responsibility. Ralph only moved there about 45 days ago, so it lines up just about right for the grace period the owner might have given him to take care of it.

Also lmao about Ralph claiming he lives in “the richest neighborhood”. Obviously in Mexico only poor ppl have to pay utilities on time, expensive houses can do so whenever they feel like it. Also, for second remember that rental is the nicest house Ralph has ever lived in. Sad. He will never be able to afford a three bedroom with window AC in el Norte, just brag about a house his uncle won’t give him.

Yes from what I have read. Not all of mexico is like this but this part is.
They have rolling water service. The city grew so fast (ralph's last neighborhood still showed as a jungle on Google Earth) that it out grew the capacity of the water supply and they haven't invested enough in upgrading it.
So they do rolling water service and when the water is on its not enough pressure to lift above ground level. So you have to store your own to carry you past off days and the tank on the roof gives you constant water pressure thanks to gravity.

This happening immediately after Ralph boasted of how much his rich landlord “loves [him]” is about as instant as karma gets.
