For sure, it was the scientific/practical content InRange presented that I actually enjoyed (mud tests aside). The practicality of various home defense shotguns episode was good one, the review of the S333 pistol, and stuff like that. I think Karl could really have gone into that type of content more, reviews combined with practical tests such. But no, he has decided to throw his lot in with the most disgusting, degenerate, dregs of modern society, troons and their ilk. And he probably doesn't realize it yet, but when the mob inevitably comes for him, his bridges to the VAST majority of the 2A community have been burnt to the fucking ground.

Chances are he is genuine about this. This is what most American gun owners want. NFA is a hindrance on average people wanting certain types of weapons but have to be on a registry. Machines are the best examples. After the Hughes Amendment went into effect, no one is allowed to make or sell machine guns to citizens made after 1986. This caused MGs that are already on the registry and transferable to citizens to sky rocket in price. Its been awhile but last time I checked a full auto AR lower was $16,000 plus the $200 tax and all the other paperwork that goes with it. Demolishing the NFA would fuck those people who own these types of weapons (monetarily at least) and allow average people to buy and produce machine guns, destructive devices, suppressors etc.

I'm mostly only interested for night hunts, honestly. Yeah the LARPing aspect is neat, you could be le Stalker or heckin Tarkov or whatever, but that's where my mind always goes when I want NODs, and I'll probably snag a pair in a year or two. Also I want to dress up as Artyom for Halloween one of these years, even if it isn't 100% accurate to the design with bubbavision on my head.

Really all you need is a solid PVS14 and those go for $3k. Then there’s helmets and mounts which add up more costs. I would say dropping that amount of money to larp seems silly but then I look at some of the guns in my collection and it feels less silly considering I gain something very useful.
