I would bet good money that at least a substantial minority of them are Russian immigrants. I would've helped funding the effort to help relocate them to the country they love so much from the comfort of Germany (or anywhere else in the West).
There is a significant Russian population in Germany specifically, I know entire families that moved there. Among them are of course ziggers, utterly deluded.

On first glance this is huge. In second... not so much. Limits of how many warheads can be deployed was reached years ago, and this treaty was going into toilet in 2026. Only thing that was in force was very limited right to make inspections be other side on facilities, but AFAIK it wasn't used in some time.

START puts a lot of limits on warhead placement. So, no fake silos and ICBM train cars. Also, the majority of tactical nukes is chained to a few select storage locations. By the way, that's the reason why China will never ever join START.
So, if tactical nukes will be sent to their end users, ground-based ICBMs relocated and decommissioned silos reactivated, then it's not an empty gesture. Everything else (including live nuclear tests) is.
If we see a long-term commitment to a Chinese model in Russian strategic missiles deployment, then it's bad news for the US. Russia acts as a nuclear shield for China (until they build enough ICBMs), but our nuclear forces are vulnerable to first disarming strike. Adopting Chinese approach will make them extremely resilient.

Interesting interpretation of my words. They would probably change their mind if they got to see that there's no such thing as freedom of expression in Russia.
"Rotten" Europe is aligned with Ukraine, yet they're allowed to stage pro-Russian marches. Any pro-Ukrainian (or simply anti-war) demonstration in Russia ends in persecution of participants by the state.

I'm talking about Russians specifically. If they think it's so great in Putinland, why do they choose to remain there in Europe? Frankly, with Kremlin being openly hostile to the West, I don't see why they shouldn't be treated as a fifth column. At least give them a taste of what they're advocating for, watch how they change their tune.
