This is one of the things I find fascinating about lolcows. The degree to which they're able to have any insight/self reflection/awareness....like at all. I know for some of them the answer is, legit, zero. But I think for a decent percentage, at least privately or for a brief fleeting moment, they have a blinding moment of realization re what they've done/are doing to their lives and then immediately do whatever they have to do in order to ignore that feeling or bury it ten miles deep. I think we've seen Lucas have those moments in private DMs but then immediately back pedal or be unable to change his behavior regardless. I've seen DM's where he acknowledges that the obsession with young girls is unhealthy but he just can't stop.
