That's not correct. I work with addicts and social drinkers have a buzz because of the social situation combined with the loosening of inabition that alcohol brings. If you're already in a depression or aggression mindset then the alcohol will heighten that. That's why they don't recommend drinking as a means of behavioural control or relaxation any more.

Ralph is an alcoholic; he isn't drinking for the enjoyment of it. He's drinking because of a dependency, both physically and emotionally.
